Reviews for The Pentanath: Adventures in the Avathar

Yep, I'm bawling now. It's been a long few weeks trying to get through this whole thing. Each chapter I had to take a breath and plunge in because I knew my heart was going to be drawn out and smashed everytime, and then I had to wait a couple days before starting a new chapter so my emotions could recover. You wrote a hell of a story here. At some point, in my heart, I knew the ending wasn't going to be what I wished for, but I read on anyway, hoping. The fact that I'm crushed and crying should be testament to how amazing this work is. Great job, I'm sad, but great job!!

This is a fascinating tale and very well written. Do you intent to finish it? I have been looking up updates for about two years, but you only seem to update your other story, set in Medieval England (which is also -by the way- very, very good)

    Greetings

I have been watching and waiting to see if you intend to keep updating any of your stories. You haven't in a LONG long time. I certainly hope you haven't left us out in the cold. This was a great story and it would be a shame.

Found this story yesterday, finished what there is today. Are you going to write a conclusion to this or leave the beautiful Haldir stuck in the dark, not even knowing his son.?

Sienna, congratulations on another wonderfully descriptive chapter, i have been reading your story from the first time you posted it and have been holding out for a new chapter with bated breath (i thought you might have actually abandoned it). Your story is intrigueing and well written and i have nothing but praise for your work, there is only one thing that puzzles me a little though, and that is the fact that Haldir does not seem to have aknowledged or consciously thought of Lisse and their child since they have been parted, although he must realize that she has long since given birth. This is not really a criticism of your work, just something that niggles in my head when i'm reading! Keep up the great work, hope to see more from you soon, Joanne.

Just checked in and already... an update. So happy! Fantastic spin to make Lesse's father still alive and in servitude. I like. Keep it up and update soon!

Damn, my friend, you can write! I have only just read the first 3 chapters and am completely shocked with the impressiveness of your style. Have you, or do you write professionally? I am completely sucked in and fully intend to read this all tonight, All night if it takes so long. I love it so far! Keep going :)

Well, kiddo, you did it again. The beginning of every chapter to the end of every chapter keeps me holding my breath. Your writing is like riding a rollercoaster of gentle to fearsome over and over and it doesn't let anyone off the ride. I need oxygen. I almost thought Lisse might lose her baby and I'm scared to death for Orophin. I was stunned by the deaths of the elves from the waves. I certainly did not see that coming. Haldir must find that old buzzard and (this is my anger talking) kill his miserable butt. I can't believe Lisse's grandfather would have killed her and the baby just to get at Haldir. What a rotten s.o.b. I wish so much that Lisse and Haldir had been able to have their baby in Haldir's talan. They were so happy. I need more rollercoaster. I need more chapters. SOOOOOON! Please!!!!!
Love this story. Love you for writing it.
    Take Care,
    Teri :):):)

I just read the new part and it was great. Frankly, I was very creeped-out by Eadendir. The palantir is turning him to such evil. I panicked when I thought you might kill off Haldir. I hope Haldir and Orophin get completely away before Eadendir can get to them.

Oh, WOW, was I stupified to find out Eadendir was stealing from Odomir and creating his little treasure trove. That is just the same as stealing from Min and Lisse. That is contemptible.

Your story and your writing are great as always.

    Take Care,
    Teri

    the plot thickens, hahaha!
gosh, I KNEW this Eadendir was a nasty bastard!
This story rocks mucho mucho! I admit I'm dying of curiosity about the new Elves. Are they Avari? ex-Orcs? Or totally new? (which I would find curious as they were not really mentioned in Illuvatar's song)

Hey there, so glad you posted the new part. I take it back...I am ecstatic that you posted the new part. Good Lord, I still can't get over your writing style. It is just superior. I was so happy that Lisse got her head straightened out about Haldir and I'm just as happy that Niel gets to see Orophin again. Its about time Haldir explained his "mistress" to Lisse. This business about the palantir is very unnerving. I feel like Lisse's grandfather is becoming the cause of the darkness' coming and that he will unleash something terrible in Aman and more importantly, I feel he will use it against Haldir and maybe Orophin. There is also the worry that Varda will ask Haldir to fight this darkness. This story is so intriguing and so many different things can happen. Please keep writing. I come home from work everyday to see if you have posted.
    Take Care,
    Teri

I'm so curious about these new Elves! Are they Elves who were once Orcs, or something like that?
And what about the presence in the House of Elms, very very creepy!
I love the mystery and the atmosphere, please update soon!
