It's not often that I'm at a loss for words, but it's surprisingly difficult for me to express how very much I've enjoyed reading what you've created (even if one or two of the plot devices struck me as pushing the envelope in terms of credulity)! I willingly genuflect before the altar of your genius and am positively in awe of (as well as being a little envious of) your talent -- not only do you have a wonderful gift for breathing life into your characters, the humorous touches with which you do so are an absolute joy. I must have laughed out loud at least once while reading each chapter -- I love the quirky little details that you've given to some of your characters, such as the way in which Haldir tugs on his braid when he's under stress. My only wish is that I had the ability to create something like this!

I want so very much to edit this story for spelling and punctuation on your behalf. I realize some of the misspellings are the result of whatever corruption the website experienced back before I ever heard of it, but some of them are just common useage errors (to instead of too) that a busy mind doesn't notice and a spell check doesn't catch.

That said, allow me to congratulate you on your growth as a writer. The first of your work I read was Tel Lindar, on which I am completely hooked by the way. Going back to this earlier work has contrasted to me your development, as well as the development of the characters. I do a lot of things backward, unfortunately, and I do wish I'd read The Empty Vessel first. It would help me make sense of Tel Lindar in places where I am intuitively guessing, "Oh, that must have happened before." There isn't much contrast between this work and that, frankly, but I can see the growth in style and sophistication. The Empty Vessel (at least these first four chapters that I have read) is very good, and shows you to be an excellent writer. I am looking forward to reading all of the works you have posted here. (P.S.-- if you ever DO want a proof-reader for grammar, spelling, and punctuation, I'd love to help.)

Ok, so it is january of 2005 and I have just finished your story, I know it has been around for a long time, but until recently, I had no idea it existed. I rarely review, almost never actually, mostly because it is hard to find a really good story, worthy of a review. Well, let me tell you, you are worthy. Your work is absolutly fantastic, and reading it, I could not help but become addicted. Your characters are incredibly well developped, and what floors me is your never ending creativity. When people write long fics, it is hard to keep the story fresh with new plot developments , and the writing becomes wreckless as the story progresses. You are not one of those people. Your research is impeccable, and while reading your story, your devotion to the true events depicted by Tolkien in his own work of fiction utterly shines. And finally, I must mention something about the ending of your piece of art(because that is truly what this is). There is a quote that love, that basically defines how I try to live my life, "If your going to do something you love, do it well". I adore...no, I worship the way you ended your masterpiece... it honest to god made me smile, not only because of the ending itself, but also because (from one writer to another) I could feel the triumph of the writer behind the story, the triumph of a truly magnificent writer. You obviously love writing, and bloody hell...you do it well!!! I don't know if you will read this, but if you do, please let me know, I would love to know if you read this, Sincerely yours, Saidie

First off I apologise , I have read this story 3 times and everytime I meant to review and for whatever (lame) reason I didnt. There are no good enough words to describe how amazing I think this story is , I laughed, I cried , I think I went through every emotion possible. Everything about this story is fab - the charcterizations, the plot, the romance, the humour. This is truly inspired, I am in awe of your talent.

Wow. I am at a loss of words. Your writing is so vivid, so breath-taking. I had images flashing through my mind while reading your novel (it really can't be called anything else, it's definitely too good to be just a story). Your characters became alive and brought tears to my eyes. The ending was very well thought out, I loved that particular touch with Tolkien stepping into the story. Your work is inspiring. Thank you for telling such a beautiful story.

I absolutely loved this story, and I've also enjoyed the sequels. I wasn't happy that Haldir had to die in Tel Lindar, but you managed to make that story enjoyable as well! I admit that I should have reviewed your stories before, but it has only been recently that I have started to review. And I agreed with you on one of your posts for a yahoo group, that only 38 reviews for thousands of hits is just terrible. Other readers/authors should attempt to review as much as possible, and I am g tog to try my hardest to do so from now on. I'm afraid I'm a lurker on several groups such as Haldir Lovers and Julie and Fianna's group, but know that I do love your stories and I look forward to reading more from you in the future.

me again. I said Valinor and meant Valar. Doh. I hereby blame any idiocy on my part for at least the next fortnight on a very bad case of smut overload. Ooh, armor buckles!

So, five stars is as high as the rating scale goes? I may have to petition for a raise there.

Zee, I have no earthly idea why it has taken me so long to read this story. Now, all I can say is, Thank the Valinor I finally did! You did great things with a woefully undeveloped character. Haldir was long considered to be the most beautiful of the Elves in my family, and now he has a story worthy of him. Good on you! Plus, you made me cry entirely too much. Always a good thing, contrary to popular belief.

I think my favorite part of this story was how seamlessly Bronwyn incorporated things she knew personally from "home" with her new status as Bard. It made the otherworldly aspect of Middle Earth a bit easier to understand, and honestly, who wouldn't giggle at hearing 21st century slang spring forth from the mouths of Elves?

And you even treated Faramir well [eventually. I may still carry a grudge for Use Me Tonight! :) ] which is something certain moviemaker types don't seem to have a handle on!

You may say that you aren't JRR, but this story will stick in my head just as long as his. Kudos!

(And now I'm off for some Snapey Elven goodness. Mmm, now I'm thinking of Snape/Haldir. Snape/Celeborn! oooo, Snape/Galadriel!! My mother would wash my brain if she could read my mind... or steal my favorites links, more like.)
