Though youre lovemaking scenes are spicy and decidedly delicious, there's not too much variation or originality in your prose. After awhile, your passion scenes seem copied and glued to one another, one chapter melding into the next hackneyed phrase to repeat itself. "Hateful March Warden""Writhing nymph" pop out like pimples in nearly every other chapter; check it yourself if you don't believe me. "sensitive spot " was used so much to describe a clitoris that i thought that word had become taboo. You can use the word clitoris. Go ahead, it's okay. We're all adults here and word variation is a wonderful thing, it salts your story and gives it some flavor. Constantly retreading the same description is bland and tiresome.

For such a long and tedious read, your surprisingly free of spelling errors, so I commend you on that! But you do have a tendency to over salt your sentences with exclamations, oh my goodness gracious, you do! These "!" are not party confetti and are used sparingly in the English language! Too many and you have a decidedly disastrous dilemma! I counted five in a row!

See what I mean? Exclamation marks don't add much to your writing, unless hysteria is something you're aiming for. One exclamation every three chapters is more than enough.

Though I've only gotten to chapter 46(I have to say I've pretty much skim read all the boring parts to jump to the steamer ones), these are the imperfections that just jump out and bugger me to death...Guess ill just have to get used to them if I'm to get to 86 chapters.

    Nephyths,
I've been away for awhile, but wanted to drop by and tell you how much I've enjoyed AHEM *your* story. Throughout this whole tale, you've never disappointed be it character arcs, plot twists, or putting up with our resident wicked one. I'm sad to see it ended, but am sure ur looking forward to a much needed respite. Enjoy your down time and once again THANK YOU *stands up applauding*

ps- I would never have figured Legolas to have known about it all along, guess I should have lloked at his character more closely, eh? Very nice plot resolution on that front.

    Ciao,
    Paige

Okay now that was great and just enough of a hint in the end to keep the story forever in our minds.

I love the justice you showed our valiant prince Legolas in the end, but even better was Haldir being true to himself and just as wicked as ever.

This has been one hell of a ride.

    So what's next?

    Merry Christmas...Happy Holidays!

    *stands and applauds authoress*

The ending was so dramatic! I was wondering if you'd throw in an angsty ending, and have Annowe drown...or something like that...on her way to Valinor. lol. I'm VERY happy that the story did not end like that; after all they've been though, I think they definitely deserved the ending that they got. And through it all, Haldir, in the end, is still his naughty self! I love it!

So, this is the end. *teary-eyed* It really doesn't seem like I've been reading this story for as long as I have. Starting with "Between Friends" to now...I never even realized that it's been over a year. They do say that "time flies when your having fun" though, don't they.

Oh, how I'll miss Annowe and Mr. Wicked!

Thank you so, so, so very much for writing such a wonderfully fabulous story. You have no idea how much this story has entertained me, and how much I've looked forward to reading each new chapter. This story has been an absolute joy to read. Thank you for sharing it. *hugs*

Brilliant! Just finshed reading the whole thing and i loved it. A little bitter-sweet, a lot of romance, some reflection and soul serching, and then that wonderfull comment from Haldir at the end that made me grin like a loon. Yes, its true, i did not look favroubly on those two for about the later thurd of this story, but the last 3 chapters or so went quite a way to making me forgive them, not quite there yet, it was just two damn easy for that after the marathon run before, but it was close. I have read the books and seen the films, i do know what Legolas gets up to after but Tolkin never went into much detail about it, so they went walk about and? I kinda like the lack of info becuse it gives us a nice strech of time to play with, I was just courious as to what you would have him do since i have so enjoyed how you have protrayed Annowe and her adventures ;) I would be flattered if you read my story over on ff.net, i dont know if you have ever played the legacy of Kain games but if not then just a little feedback on the writing would be great as im just starting out with my fiction, only 4 chapters of my first posted story, although in my opinion the new chapters that i will post soon are better. I can certanly understand if you shy away from the keyboard for a while after this epic of a fanfiction but i hope to see more of your work in the future.

I love this story and its predecessor although I must admit you have had me rather worried about poor Legolas. Reason being that they were so happy together in the previous story and now you drop this bombshell in his lap and at some point a rather nasty little voice reminded me that elves can die of a broken heart.... at which point I got all wobbly chinned and worried that you would kill my favorite elf!!! And if there is a sure way to get me all teary its to make Legolas miserable, honestly all he has to do is stub his toe and I go all weepy (well ok, im not that bad but you get the picture). Of all the characters in all the fandomes I read, its always Legolas I get protective about. So much so that I almost hated Annowe and Haldir for being so mean to him, wether she intended to or not, and a part of me wanted to curse Haldir till even he would have to cover his ears, for been so self centered as far as Legolas is concerned.... (not that I don’t adore this story, that is just the legolas fan in me being all angry on his behalf. He wishes that I would just leave it be but damn it, no one is allowed to be mean to my legolas, it’s the law!... or it should be.)
I know what you mean when the characters start dictating their story. I am writing a Legacy of Kain fiction over on fanfiction.net and just recently, the last two chapters that I have written (not posted yet, still giving them the final spit and polish before they go up), the two characters from the game, Kain and Raziel, have suddenly up and started doing their own thing! Took me completely by surprise when the first time it happened Kain just showed up in a scene he was never meant to be in, and he got away with it! What a buzz!! Honestly, writing and original character creation have never been the same since (most recent example being Julian, a RPG vampire character I made up, he gave me whole new dimension to RPG for me to play with I can tell you!).
I think you can tell when characters take on this extra dimension, it’s the kind of thing that can separate a great story from an excellent one. I can see that in your stories and I must say, congratulations. Far too many stories that I have read fall short on this, wether the author is still working up to it or has missed the mark entirely, and it is always a joy to find the ones that have gone that bit further. Keep up the excellent work and, if I may be aloud to be rather selfish, can I make a request? It looks like Annowe and Haldir could well get their happy ending if they don’t completely bugger it up in the meantime, but what about Legolas? (yes, yes, I know, I cant help myself) You said you were trying to be as true to the book/movie as possible, so what happens in Legolas' love life after the ring is destroyed and his Wickedness sets sail with his beloved? (This is the point where I cue the big puppy dog eyes by the way) ;) .... good god, longest review ever! lol Story is bookmarked since i dont have an AFF.net profile yet.

What angst! I'm hoping with all of my might that Annowe gets to the Havens in time. But, now, I'm anxious about what will happen when/if they are reunited. Will he be angry with her for leaving him in the first place? Grrrr... I hope not! He knows that she's coming for him, so I hope that gives him some comfort.

So, the story is winding down... *pouts* this is not good news. Yes, yes, I know it has to end sooner, or later - I, of course, would prefer later. *grins*

Anyway, I can't wait to find out how the last few chapters will unfold. I'll be on the look-out for your next update. : )

Have a very Merry Christmas...or Merry whatever! Happy Holidays/Season's Greetings!

I have been following this story for quite sometime. I am not a reader of slash, but this story was so interesting I just ignored the slah part. I really do like this story. Haldir is such a naughty elf. Bad boy. I just finished reading chapter 82. Poor Leggie. I feel so bad for him. All neglected and alone. Just send him over to me and I will take care of that sweet little elf. Mmm!! Anyway I like your OC. Annowe is a great character. Such a firery and sensual being, full of courage and love. I can't wait to see how this story ends. Any idea how many more chapters?

    cheers,
