I have run out of appropriate adjectives to describe just how amazing this story is. The attention to detail is incredible. The characters are realistic and believable. I was enthralled to see that this had been updated again, and once again you do not disappoint! I love this story, and I love your writing style. I can't wait to see where we go next - those naughty boys just can't keep their hands to themselves! Thank you so much for sharing this story with us!

Certainly the most innovative fics I have read in sometime. Specially the religious aspect of the story. Very, very interesting.

    Hi ya, Fred

Glad to hear you had good holidays. I just got back from Arizona -- it was such a relief from the frozen State 'o Maine -- and here sat your update when I turned my computer on.

I'm lousy at leaving reviews because all I can say is WONDERFUL! So well written and descriptive. I'll be patient, I promise.

whoa, that was heavy, but in a good way. All I could think of during the possession scenes was "cool!" I mean seriously too cool, where do you come up with this stuff? And I'm glad Erestor and Glorfindel buried the hatchet, there are anough problems for Legolas without dealing with feuding lovers having sex in his bed- which is low for anyone! Great job, can't wait to see what happens next!

The ritual was absolutely stunning. The amount of effort it must have taken to first come up with each part and then to make it flow so well is only further proof of your skills as a writer. The imagery created at each of Cuthenin's fellow's took part of his body was incredible and also clearly frightening on some levels. I can not imagine how hard that must have been for Glorfindel to witness such sorrow on his would-be lover's part and then for him to force himself to remain a strong source of power for him throughout the ceremony: simply magnificient. And I must also comment on the discussion between Glorfindel and Erestor in the flet: the powerful emotions of betrayl, contempt, and anger all came through brilliantly, yet their characters still remained very much as they have always been. I've seen far too many writers portray a character one way and then for them to portray them a slightly different way when they have written themselves into an emotional corner. You did not do this and for that I say "hurray" to your skills.

OMG! This story just keeps getting better and better, if that is possible. Glorfindel and Erestor truly managed to make a mess of their relationship. The interaction between these two characters was really riveting. I found myself shaking my head at the folly of their behavior. And your description of the ritual was magnificent. I felt as though I was a witness to the event - as though I was standing outside the circle watching it unfold before me - rather than sitting in my living room reading about it. This was a marvelous Christmas present (OK so it was a day late , but close enough to count!) . I cannot begin to tell you how excited I was when I saw that this had been updated, and you did not disappoint. I will be anxiously awaiting the next installment - I can't wait to see where you take us next!

Another wonderful chapter, and I am very pleased that at last we got to hear at least some of what is bothering Erestor so very much. I was intrigued to see how you would be setting up the relationship between Erestor and Glorfindel in the past and what had gone so terribly wrong. It is wonderful to see an author who will demonstrate that at times the relationship failed as a result of both parties involved rather than just one (not many do), and while it was sad to see how much the breaking of the relationship has hurt Erestor it is equally upsetting to see how Glorfindel has failed to do anything to explain his heart and actions. I will go on to say that I loved the way that you started out the greiving ceremony but didn't really finish it, only leaving the description of the characters reactions and how they felt upon hearing the story that we'd already learned from Legolas earlier on: it was a bold technique to use. Such a great story, I can't wait for more.

ooow! Now I kinda feel bad for Erestor even if I do want Legolas and Glorfindel to get together. What a pickle! Beautiful chapter, loved your use of language when describing the stars, "Velvet veil of night", like poetry!

    Hiya, Fred
Just hopped on real quick -- taking a break from proofreading (part of my job) a really boring trial transcript -- and there you are with an update. I was a little disappointed it wasn't the grieving ritual, but I do see the need for this chapter. It will just give me something to anticipate! Your writing is so descriptive and well worded, all I had to do was close my eyes and I could see the scenes unfold. I just have one concrit -- write faster! (bg)

WooHoo! An update! You made my day. I love this story. Your characters are so realistic. They have conflicting emotions and personalities. It will certainly be interesting to see how this all plays out - the problems between Glorfindel and Erestor are deep seated and seem to touch many lives. I like the way you are portraying Legolas. He is vulnerable and yet strong - he is innocent and yet wise beyond his years. I admit that I am addicted to this story and I anxiously await my next "fix". Thanks again for sharing this amazing story with us!

WOW!!! I go off on business travel and you just punch out bunches of chapters. This fic is just too good to believe. I love the cultural and religious implications you have created for Legolas. I am really interested in the understanding that Galdor has of those implications associated with Legolas...will he fade, will he not. I know that the relationship between Glorfindel and Erestor had was marred by something Glorfindel did to hurt Erestor. I would like to know more about how that seemed to make Erestor so vicious or was Erestor already that way and Glorfindel got fed up? I wonder about this because Legolas would like Glorfindel to be part of the rites that must be performed but Galdor is not pleased with Glorfindel as a choice and actually seems to not respect our Balrog slayer.
More tattooing! I have a 1 inch by 2 inch tattoo. It took 20 minutes and I was real happy the guy had to keep answering his phone when the receptionist had left. I needed every break I could get. I cannot imagine going through the pain of full body tattoos.
This is an amazing fic. You must continue.
    Take Care,
    Teri

    Greetings again, Fred.
I only recently became aware of this site, having learned of it off of Esteliel's home page. I must say how impressed I have been by the caliber of the writing and all of the thought and research that has gone into the fanfiction, especially this one. I am an avid reader and writer of QAF (U.S.) fanfiction on another site, but I'm definitely going to spread the word about this fandom to my cohorts who don't know about it.

I'll be waiting impatiently for the next chapter in this wonderful story. (bg)
