Beautiful!!! I love LOTR fanfics about our lovely elves Legolas and Haldir! What I don't particularly care for are the ones where they are paired together...I just prefer to think of them hetero I guess. *blush, wink, nudge)

Please update soon, don't let this keeper of a tale sit for long!

I for one can't wait to read what is next...

Yikes! Mirkwood spiders! *shudders* Yuk! She's going to need the industriel size can of Raid, that's for sure! Spiders creep me out, went into the laundry room into a black widow web one day, it was alive with the little horrors... and so was I. Damn near jumped *through* a block wall to get away. *eeeee!* I'm sure they heard my screams all over the the block.
Can't wait till the next chap!

    Hi again!
Ah, to have gorgeous elven males fighting over one... *Yeah,I wish* Haldir DOES play along well, doesn't he? And the picture of Legolas (tall, blond, and grumpy *snickers*) in a jealous snit and dreading his father's 'talks' are priceless. Oh, by the way, the vine thing, good idea... That could work. And add garlic and barley and you have very nutrishious (*eek, my spelling!*)and infection fighting broth (I'll take an order with beef and no cabbage please... It *doesn't* like me). And salt to the sugar/water and you a classic re-hydration mixture.
    Keep up the good work!

In response to morgan: Thanks for the review , Never apologize for constructive criticism. While I agree with you about 'taters' and 'maters' evidently samwise gamgee and profesor tolkien did not share our views lol I quote page 262-263 of the two towers from the houghton mifflin company collectors edition. The chapter entitled of herbs and stewed rabbit. " What's taters , precious , eh, what's taters?''Po-ta-toes,' Said sam" and from page 32 of the fellowship of the ring ibid. " Cabbages and potatoes are better for me and you."
If tolkien was willing to give them one new world nightshade who are we to deny them the others? lol. This story is AU as it has time travel and a somewhat mary-sueish character etc. in it. I still enjoy hearing canon and fanon points of view equaly as long as the reviewers are as polite as you were.

I like the story so far... Only one quibble as for the stew ingredients. There whould have no potatoes, they are a new world crop... turnips would have been used. And tomatos were concidered poisonous at that time in history I know, picky much, huh? Grins nervously* I've tasted authentic period dishs, and boy, do they taste different from what we *modern* folk are used to. As a fact, tomatoes and potatoes both belong to the nightshade family and any part but the ones we eat, *are* in fact toxic... You've seen I'm sure the green coloration under the skin of some potatoes? That's a toxin, don't eat that part... Of course, small doses are harmless... Really? Yeah, right. Pass the baked potatoes please...). Sorry, I belong to a The Society for Creative Anachronism Inc. I can't help myself *
Please forgive my spelling, it's vile.
