This is soo much fun to read. Do especially love the chapter where Thranduil learns that he was the reason for Gil-Galad and Oropher's animosity! Love love love so many other places.

I figured I would start reading all of your work. I find that I really like the way you write. And I like the way the twins, and Legolas act. Interesting pranks as well. All in all, I like it!! (As if you couldn't tell from the praise) On to the next story!! ^_^

    Part VI of 1
Today with our ease of travel, instant messaging and satellite communications we can't really appreciate what distance and travel was like in ancient times. Parting would be hard. No wonder they are not very happy even in the midst of more pranks. At least elves have forever to keep in touch.
Poor Elrohir doth protest too much. The flame has been lit even though it is a dim little flicker. Elladan can see much more clearly since it is not his heart involved. Ah the surprise comes with a prince attached.
Naneth notices that her baby is much more grown up now. When did that happen? I think it is time for adar to enlighten his Lady as to what has been going on lately. But not where elven ears can hear. Although I doubt that any elf in the Greenwood is completely in the dark as to the education their youngest prince has been receiving from his new found friends.
A diplomatic coup here. I loved to imagine what the three must have looked like. Delicious I am sure. The twins have left their decided mark on the Greenwood and on the royal family as well. After all Legolas did like them at first sight. They were kindred spirits.
Celebrian gets props for insisting the twins come with them. Despite their antics they did a good job. And Elrond is correct to thank the Powers for his persuasive Lady.
Ah the last night in the gar Le Legolas will be lonely, after all the twins have each other. But he will work hard to qualify for a trip to Imladris and to make them even prouder of him. What fun that visit will be.
And now time for one last prank to be remembered by. Those stinkers. giggle

Ah Legolas the mighty spider killer. The prince is gonna bust his buttons with all the praise. He is so young and impressionable and sweet.
So Elrohir is impetuous for a change and gives the prince a pet name. Elladan should be surprised as his twin is the cautious one and is slow to bind in friendship. But Legolas is a prince not just among elves but obviously among friends so he is very worthy of their friendship.
Groan they have a great plan in the works and want Legolas to pour on his awesome charm. And he does and it works. I did like the prince's friend noticing how alive the prince was with the twins. They are equals and Legolas has only two who are his equal in the Geenwood and they don't seem to be much fun for him. Nice of his friend to be so understanding and realize how difficult lis a s a prince might be.
Ah a little dip into foreign waters for the trio. Yes Legolas is not as innocent as he was when the twins first came. They taught him well. But the cat almost got out of the bag there. Their escapades are fine for them to participate in but not open to public discussion. When the ancient path comes up it is over for the threesome. That was a close call. At least they were under close scrutiny and got reined in quickly. Since Legolas was pie eyed he at least doesn't actively remember but the thought could be there for future reference.
I loved the thought of letting the twins loose in Mordor and Sauron conceding defeat and retreating. If only it were that easy. giggle

    Part IV of 1
Spiders! I hate spiders so much. The twins have now seen first hand how difficult life can be in the Greenwood for their wood elf brethren.
Legolas' reaction was interesting. He is younger so he has a little hero worship going on here for the twin's abilities. Elladan's healing and Elrohir's stoicism in spite of t pat pain. His added respect was very sweet. They are very able elves not just a couple of rapscallions to run rampant with. Although I am sure that part of their personalities are fun also. The prince could have chosen worse to emulate.
Ah Elrond is so wise. He will let the healers learn the hard way and do they ever. Party Central in the Halls of Healing is not quite what the healers had in mind. And Legolas is up to his, well whatever he is up to anyway. I thought Thranduil took the deflowering of his youngest son in stride. He after all has been through this twice before I suppose so he was ready for something like this. Especially with the randy twins around. He also gained a lot of respect for Elrond since the Lord has put up with this kind of behaviour for ninety years and hasn't sailed West yet.
I loved the part with Gil Galad. So the High King of the Elves had a tendre for a certain Sinda in the House of Oropher. HMMM Who could that possible be? Quite a shocker for said Sinda. This does show though that the king isn't totally opposed too the Ancient Way. He just realized it will take a long time of open door policy for things to change. He is good at being a pragmatist. The fact that he himself wasn't interested doesn't preclude his accepting that others might be.
Nice chapter of reconciliation here. I enjoyed that. Also drunken and randy elven princes getting it on. Great images. giggle

Poor Legolas. Out of his depth at the carnal exploits of the twins. No one can restrain these two. In centuries to come he will repeat that many times over. He is going to learn a lot from them.
Will the Crown Prince best the twins? Never underestimate them. Oh my yes. Legolas should support his brother but will he?
Of course the twins astounded them all with their abilities. I do expect them to have had the best training that both Imladris and 'Lorien had to offer. I also think perhaps their human blood may have let them mature more quickly than the elves of purerod.
    od.
Ah Legolas, so fair and fragile looking but so calmly blood thirsty. I liked that. Think about it. Fight or die in the Greenwood.
Then at the feast the barely concealed glee of Elrond and Celebrian, while the handling of the Crown Prince by the King just added to the hostility and tension. More fireworks for us.
se ese elemental wood elves. Gotta love 'em. giggle

Well I leave a review and what do I see. I posted your first review. What a liar I am about whefounfound your fic. Actually what a procrastinator I am. I did have to play catch up when I didn't keep up. Anyway you are stuck with me reviewing now. Ha. I was just a lot slower than you and hope that now you are not a moving target I can hit the gold.

    Part II of 1
Nice touch, the introduction to the wood elves and their abilities to blend into the forest. Then of course the king's power and abilities without the use of a ring, the brush moving out of the way and back and then the stone gates. I ys lys loved that part in The Hobbit when I first read it way too many years ago. I loved the wood elves from the get go.
Like Galadriel I don't consider what the elves do as magic. It is just what they can do. To me it is like what we do today as opposed to what our ancestors did. We would probably be burnt at the stake like witches if our ancestors could see us use the microwave or wash and dry clothes.
You let them live in the trees. That is great. I don't think elves would really like to live in a cave but of course it is a great defensive move to have one all ready for trouble.
Now we come to the party. Great way to introduce the differences of Imladris and Greenwood with their clothing choices. Those wood elves have to be ready to fight at a moments notice and they have to dress like it.
I loved the juxtapostion of the twins and the prince's attire. The black of Imladris' twins and the white of Greenwood's youngest prince. Knowledge and innocence, setting up your arc here. I could just see this in my mind's eye.
And those gorgeous twins having all the ellyth dropping like flies, swarming like bees to honey, like hummingbirds hovering over nectar bearing....well you get the picture.
Now comes the driving force of your tale. The Ancient Way. Cast aside by the wood elves for the purpose of survival. Not even acknowledged by those who know not all comply with this new edict of procreate or die. Cultural patterns are very hard to change. They do tend to go underground. Like in South America many of the icons of the Catholic faith are from a much earlier age. They have just been adopted by the natives and gathered into the fold as it were.
Now we get to the good part. Male posturing, male bonding, too much testosterone in the air here. Smirk.
"You do likeubleuble, don't you?" Poor diplomatic Erestor. I think there will be a lot of the pouring of oil over troubled waters. giggle

I came to this story in the middle. You posted so quickly and broke it up in to so many segments that it was all I could do to catch up and get it read. Reviewing fell by the wayside. I am going to try to play catch up by reviewing. Now that your tale is over I hope to make it up to your great storytelling skills by reviewing. Better late than never.

    Part 1 of 1
Your descriptions are lovely and not over the top. They add to your story without becoming the story. We get a really good image of the scenes without being pulled out of the moment. The scenes you portray seem refined, polished.
I really liked the GilGalad moment with Celebrian and Elrond. The twins found it amusing also to think of their Adar and a long dead hero. It is a good thing Elrond obviously prefers blonds or blondes because it helped bring about this visit. And isn't it interesting that the women would have such p ove over the politics of the situation.
I'm glad you have Celebrian in your story. So many times she gets left out or is an afterthought. You made her a good elf to have around. Also one who has a good sense of humor. Not nearly as innocent as her parents or husband think she is.
I see you are going to have the twins be tricksters. They seem to be pranksters or real devils in most stories.
I thought bringing up their heritage and manliness as a reason for their enjoyment of sensual delights was good even though their father with more human blood was not affected.
The whole Thranduil/Elrond feud was well covered wlittlittle w of of time. Then having the two take their first step of understanding because of their hellion sons was great.
So Legolas issues a challenge and the twins are glad to take it up. The fur will fly in the Greenwood and I look forward to it. giggle

I have to say that this is truly quality writing. You put so much discription, sights, sounds, smells and emotion into the story. Everything about it brings the places and characters to life in a way that few fanfiction authors can capture. I truely look forward to continuing with this series.

Wow! Very well written; long not not boring), descriptive (but not to much), some nice original characters, an imaginable portrail of Greenwood, seems like you have taken your time writing it...all in all, a complete story so far. I saw that you have planned much more and I look forward to those story. Right now I believe this is one of the better fics here.

It was good to finally see some of the trouble the trio was causing. The sleeping drought was a great idea. *hehe* I'm really looking forward to the next installment of this tale. You have a great writing style. Very easy to read. Great story.

Wonderful start! I can't wait to read more. I've always loved the idea of friendships between Legolas and the twins. The descriptions of Greenwood are beautiful. I'd like to see a little more with the mothehoughough. How do they feel about the budding friendship between their sons and all the mischeif they'll get into. And just what is this mischeif? I know the twins are being very free with their attentions, but what have the three of them done? Examples would be wonderful!

    Anxiously waiting for more!!
