Awww... I feel really bad for Elrohir. And Legolas because he doesn't know what he's missing. Now, the Fellowship of the ring! This'll be interesting. ^_^

A very nice chapter. It is amusing that everyone can see what is between Elrohir and Legolas except Legolas. Ah well, I will remain hopeful. Legolas is a true friend and in his own way he already loves Elrohir. I'll atieatient and weight for him to return the other's deeper affections. How many times have you read The Lord of the Rings to be able to connect your own story to them so flawlessly?

I didn't know whether I want to laugh or cry. 'woefully oblivious' is an understatement. Still at least he is *slightly* more aware of Elrohir's feelings than he used to be... I suppose. |^_^| Excellent chapter! As always. |^_~|

Well I can *totally* rstarstand why Elrond, Elladan, Galadrial and even Mithrandir are starting to be concerned that Legolas is worthy of Elrohir's regard! I wanted to hit him myself for making Elrohir so upset and, well - *dejected* However, it is no small thing for him to let Elrohir know of his desire for him and him alone because, for Legolas, that admission comes perilously close to a declaration of his heart. So I can't say I'm surprised that he backed off again, though I AM so pleased he apologised for hurting Elrohir. Being cruel just isn't in Legolas.

I’m certainly no Tolkien expert, but I like the way you’ve exploited his loophole with regard to the Twins' destiny. Actually, you could argue that the movie version of RoTK agrees with you; didn’t Arwen suddenly turn cold when she was confronting Elrond after seeing a vision of her son? To my way of thinking this happened because in her heart, Arwen knew she was connected to Aragorn and regardless of the outcome she was bound to him; and she *really* chose a mortal life. Just a thought.

Eressë, once again I'm amazed at the depth of feeling you manage to invoke in me with this series. After all, G&I 14 had me baying for Elrohir's blood and now I feel slightly distraught for him. We *have* to be getting close to them both being on the same page at the same time surely? Oh and by the way, my giggling fit during RoTK was pretty much induced whenever Aragorn was on a horse! I don't know why it tickled me - it just did. My friends thought I was mad. I've given them the link to this series!

Phew, very emotional chapter. I am glad Gandalf is there to help things out between not only Elrohir and Legolas, but with Elladan and Elrond as well.
You know it just struck me (a bit late *blush*...or I have mentioned it before) that the language in which everyone converses isn't just your nowadays usual english! I suddenly started paying attention to it and I believe you are one of the few who can, without ackwardness, insert the word 'nay' into a sentence :)
    And lines like:
“Just as his love runs deeper than the deepest seas, so does his valor scale the highest peaks. He would take on all our burdens if he could, even on top of his own.”
Aren't found in just any fanfiction! And still, it is easy and enjoyable to read. Good work once again!

You've incorporathe the beginning of the war of the ring into your story excellently and I know you'll continue to do so with the next instalment! Wonderful epic, and I love your portrayal of the love between Elrohir and Legolas, it's just so beautiful. One can only hope for a happy ending, which appears to be the case in the end.

Really anticipating future updates but ironically will be saddened by the fact that the end of the epic is drawing closer too....

    Hugz!

Wow, this was such a touching chapter. The bond between the twins is written so convincingly, and my heart goes out to both of them, though for very different reasons. Elladan is so protective of his younger brother. I know how that feels, the terror of the thought of losing a younger sibling. For Elrohir, it is his poor heart. The way he suffers in silence for his love of Legolas. I keep saying it, but it remains true. Elladan is the voice of wisdome; Elrohir has to tell Legolas, though he may have his reasons to remain silent. It is difficult to find a good time to confess something of that magnitude, though. On one hand, the time apart may help Legolas come to terms with the truth, but on the other hand, as Elrohir said, he needs resolution, for fear that he will not return. Your writing is every bit as complicated as life is, making it completely believible.

OMG! I'm soooooooo sorry I haven't reviewed any of your other stories but I just HAD to review! All of your stories are so great and well-written honestly! I could compare you to Darma Druid the author of Irulan on fanfiction.net. Actually come to think of it, you should read that story, it's really good! But anyways, about your story! It's so great and sad though! I really do hope that Legolas will finally snap out of his foolishness and realize that Elrohir loves him and that he loves him back...*sigh* What fools people are when it comes to love...anyways. I must go now! BYE for now but I look forward to reading more of your stories!

Absolutely loving the story. Completely and utterly hooked. So much so, that instead of studying for finals, I was dreaming up possible futures for our dear legolas and elrohir... and found myself wishing evil upon my favorite prince of mirkwood. Seems to me, in an attempt to hold off evil boromir from lapsing under the control of the ring, legolas might offer his body to the man, thinking - 'hey, i've done this before, i can be with a male again if it helps the quest' and then realize (a bit too late) how different it was to give himself to elrohir. His experience with the man would be less than pleasant, and he would resort to thoughts of elrohir to see him through and keep him fighting, and thus realize his love... and have all the lovely angst of then thinking himself tainted by the man's touch. haha. :)
