I can understand that Erestor might want to come back, but Elrond still has to apologize.Doesn't matter if Erestor made a mistake.Elrond treated Erestor badly and is acting justified about it.MAKE HIM APOLOGIZE!At least the twins did.

I knew it! I knew it I knew it I knew it I knew it!!!!!! Ha ha!!!! Just like what I hypothezied in a review way back when for who-knows-what chapter, I knew it! I knew it had to be either Legolas or Thranduil that was the father to Erestor's baby and that this whole thing was some kind of horribly out of control case of mistaken identity!!! Aha! I knew it!! *does stupid little dance in a circle*

Oh boy! Wow, what a chapter! It felt like everything happened at once! I mean, just, everything! ha ha! Aw man, that was the chapter I was waiting for, seriously. I can't tell you how happy I am that Erestor's finally been proven right.

Aw boy! So what happens now!? I am so excited to read how this all now progresses now that the truth is finally known about Erestor's rape. Yes, rape. Ha! Take that, Elrond, you stupid self-serving, pig headed, sorry excuse for an elven lord, HA!!! I want to see how he's going to cover himself now. Looks like the big bad Lore Master Peredhel isn't the all knowing ass he thought he was, now is he? Grrr.... Oh, I want to see groveling apologies from him. Actually, I want to see grovelling apologies from everyone!

So now Elrond knows Erestor didn't lie. Oh! Before I forget, that one line that went something along the lines of "he lied... intentionally or not, he lied..." That's kind of a self-eliminating sentence. One of the major characteristics of lying in the knowledge that what is being said is not the truth. What I think you meant to say was "hs wrs wrong" or "he was mistaken. Thranduil never touched him..." You can't lie and not intentionally mean it as the none truth. Does that make sense? But I think you kind of caught yourself later when you said "But i know now how you might have made the mistake..It wIt was just something that stood out to me while reading. Though it's not all that important, I would probably suggest fixing it.

Anyway, so yeah, what's Elrond going to do now? I think Erestor deserves a MAJOR apology from him. It seems though that Elrond knows he was wrong and has now unspokenly shifted his alliances over to Erestor's side since he's just demanded punishment for Legolas' crime agaihis his councillor and bhed hed him from all of Imladris. I just hope he now feels like the ass he is and apologies proffusely to Erestor and restores him to his former place in the household. I hope he feels especially terrible now that he's actually SEEN what happened to Erestor and knows that it was becaus him him an innocent elf almost faded from grief, tried to kill himself, and had his rapist almost get away with such a heinous crime. Gee, I thought the Lord of a land was suppose to protect his subjects... Looks like Elrond just proved that he miserably failed in that.

I can only wonder what Erestor's going to do now. He's going to have to finally face what's happened to him. I can tell he's going to have a lot of emotional baggage to deal with after this whole mess. I wouldn't be surprised if he never fully trusted anyone ever again. Glorfindel, I feel, still needs to truly reearn Erestor's trust along with everyone else... Don't forget that old addage: "Trust is something that can be broken in an instant, but what takes an eternity to repair" Somehow I feel this is what would most likely apply to Erestor in this case. As sad as that sounds, I simply cannot see him truly trusting anyone ever again after what's happened to him, or if he does it will take a very long time for him to learn to trust again. I mean, everybody, and I mean just about everybody!, he's ever loved or cared about td thd their backs on him when he was in the most need of their help. That's not something that a person just so easily gets over or forgets. Glorfindel better know he's in for the long haul to earn our fallen councillor's trust again. I think after this meeting, Erestor's going to need a strong shoulder to cry on and a of lot of time to come to grips with what he's been forced to relive when Elrond merged with Erestor's memories. Perhaps Glorfindel can start to regain a little bit of Erestor's trust by being such a person to him to help him deal with what's enedened to him and help him deccide how he's going to go on in the wake of such a traumatic experience.

I wonder how Elladan and Elrohir are going to deal with this too. I mean, how's Elrohir going to deal with him being the kind-of-but-not-really lover of an elf that could have been his potential rapist? They seem to be yet another case of impending groveling apologies for how they treated Erestor since their return to Imladris from Mirkwood. Don't forget there was a lot of physical abuse on their part on a poor innocent raped elf. The same one, mind you, Elr Elrohir said that he loved... I kind of think that also needs to be redressed so that Elrohir knows Erestor never heard his confession or knew that he had such feelings for him.

The only thing that got me was Thrandund Lnd Legolas. I mean, Thranduil knew Legolas raped Erestor yet when Legolas finally confessed to doing so, he acted so surprised and striped Legolas of his title as Prince of Mirkwood... Emm... that seemed kind of, I don't know... I mean, he was ready to take the blame for the rape and confess to it when he knew it wasn't him, but then so suddenly comes to Erestor's defense in this whole thing. And Legolas... I mean, throughout the entire story he abused Erestor and accused him of lying about his father raping him as though he had no knowledge of what actually happened... It seemed kind of iffy to me... Did he know all along he was the father of Erestor's baby? Or did he not remember it because he was drunk at the time and only really remembered when Erestor began to recount what happened that night? And what about Virisse? I mean, she hired someone to poison Eretor and act as his lover. Surely she also deserves some kind of punishment for her actions. And Thranduil too. He might have come to Erestor's defense now, but he still hid the truth and tried to take the blame for his son raping someone... Somehow every one of Thranduil's family is guilty of something worthy of punishment. I'm just curious how you plan to deal with this. Surely Elrond won't let this go by unchecked now that he knows Erestor was telling the truth.

I think there's now going to have to be a lot of healing to be done with Erestor. A lot of time to repair his broken trust of others and a lot of apologies. I wouldn't really be surprised if Erestor really doesn't believe the sincerity of their apologies at first. Perhaps he will even still think he's going to be banished for whar rer reason. I mean, that's what Elrond's been threatening him with ever since the beginning. And since Elrond's consistentely been a major ass about this whole thing, I wouldn't be surprised if Erestor thought Elrond wasn't moved by finally knowing he had been telling the truth.

Oooo... so many possible plot bunnies here! I can't wait to see what you do! On that note, I thought I might address another review I saw on your review page for this last chapter - the one about your story being so AU. Well, I'd just like to say that I like your story. AU or not. In fact it the total AUiness of the whole story that makes it so enjoyable. You can't predict how the characters are going to react to different things in the story. From Erestor's timidness, to Elrond being a total ass hole, to Legolas almost being the complete opposite to his usual characterization, it keeps the reader wondering what the next twist is going e. e. I mean, I admit right here and now that I am a TOTAL Legolas fangirl. But somehow I enjoy your slightly unorthodox characterizaton of him. In the Mani Marte universe, I love to hate him! I really do! I hope this making sense to you...

Well, in any case, i love this story. Hurry with more soon. I can't wait to see what happens next with Erestor and how he and the others all deal with the real truth. Hurry hurry hurry! 'til then!

OK, I just can't keep my silence any longer. You are SUCH a good writer... why then do you twist beloved characters in this way? I adore slash, and adore Erestor, Glorfindel, Legolas, Thranduil, the Twins, Elrond... mpreg stories are among my favorites. And I kept reading this, hoping it would get as good as your other stories. But instead Erestor is made into a girly little wuss, Legolas into a rat bastard, Glorfindel into a cretin who punches out everyone, Elrondo ano an indecisive idiot... what the heck happened??? AU I can handle, and have often... but this is stunningly wrong. Not badly written--hardly that, you're too good a writer for that. Just... badly scripted, I guess. Couldn't Erestor have at least possessed a backbone? And couldn't he have been raped by someone other than a beloved character like Legolas??? And because he was DRUNK?? Oh puh-leeze, really now....

You have legions of fans for this tale, that much is clear from the reviews; I wanted to have the guts to tell you that I love your writing style, but that this story line is just positively awful. I wish I had the guts to give my e-mail addy, but I have been horribly flamed before for speaking my mind, even when I try to be supportive, so sorry about the no address. All the characters are incredibly OUT of character; you could change their names and not injure the plot at all, because this ain't middle earth and these ain't the Elves I love. More's the pity, because your other stories are so much better... Will there be ANY explanation beyond an inexplicabledencdency toward drunkenness and rape? How in hell will Legolas become the dependable, beloved, merry/wise/sad Elf of the Fellowship, entrusted by Elrond with their people's fate, if he has been stripped of his title and cast out like this for a crime he just would NOT have committed?? Oh wait, I know, Erestor will find his backbone and be the Elf sent with the Fellowship... and Legolas will die at the hands of the Orcs, clearly raped and forced to bear babies for them in retribution, and when the others find his remains they will spit on him and say he deserved it...

Oh, BlueGold, I am so sad. I am in mourning. I had SUCH hopes that Erestor would learn he had been raped by someone masquerading as Thranduil... that everyone would go through comprehensible angst, not this inexplicable whatever... that there could be something to salvage this. :-( I don't want to hurt yourlinglings, I am just so incredibly disappointed that a favorite writer has produced such an incomprehensible piece of work. :-( I'll go put on my flame-proof jumpsuit now.... :-( And cry a lot into my beer.

Aha!! Slap him again, Galadriel! Do it! Slap the living crap out of him!!! Show him what he gets for treating Erestor so badly! LOL! That was great! I hope she tells him off next chapter! That would be great! Anoither thing I would gladly pay to see. Oh, everything's finally set up for the long awaited trial/meeting/interrogation/whatever you want to call it.

So Erestor's son's name is Calenmir? (if I remembered it correctly) Hmm... I still wonder about that fact about the baby's eye color. that would almost HAVE to point at Thranduil as being the father... either that or someone in his bloodline that might have inherited a resesive green-eyed gene... (cough cough LEGOLAS!!! cough cough) Either one could be a potential sire for Erestor's child. I mean, come on... Legolas and Elrohir's little "friendly" relationship is starting to get a little bit creepy...

Ok, so so far we have a hired "lover" poisoning Erestor, a green-eyed baby, Thranduil's odd behavoir lately, and that still yet to be brought up again but what I haven't forgotten mysterious article of clothing Glorfindel saw under Erestor's bed in his old room right before he was distracted away when Erestor went into labor... Surely all this plus input from Galadriel and (hopefully) a confession by Thranduil and/or Legolas should clear Erestor. Oh, I can't wait to read the next chapter. Hurry with more soon! PLEASE!!! I'm dying for an update!!!

    -daughterofthemidnightmoon

P.S. Should I take this sudden change for the better in Erestor's wellbeing as meaning there will be no fading scene with him and Glorfindel? *sob*

Hurry with more soon! Or I shall be forced to send out my hoards of mini-Balrogs!!!! ^_^

Hey hey! Just as promised, I'm rereviewing chapt6! 6! It took a bit of a copy and paste job to do from my sent e-mail folder, but hey! I'm lazy and don't feel like rewriting the whole thing. I mean, after all, I have two other chapters to review! ^_^ So here goes...

First off, for last chapter, I was so estatic to see Glorfindel finally come
and save Erestor. What was Baglor (if that is his real name...) trying to
force Erestor to drink? Something to keep him from regaining his voice and
spng? ng? Or was it something to actually kill him? Oh... what a plot
development that would be if that really was poison Viiresse (check it out!
I remembered her name for once!) payed Baglor (aka Melcer?) to feed Erestor.

Wow. That scene with Glorfindel and Erestor after Glorfindel saved him
really moved fast. I mean in pretty much less than 2 minutes Glorfindel not
only begged Erestor for forgiveness for not believing him, told him that he
loved him, but also asked Erestor to marry him... Wow. No waiting there
with that elf! But is that really enough to save our dear Erestor from
fading I wonder, even though he knows Gindeindel loves him? I mean, after
saving Erestor that first time from the river and then meeting Erestors
"lover", Glorfindel really hasn't done much to make Erestor believe he
really does love him and believe him no matter what anyone else says. I
think Erestor forgave him a little too easily there in my opinion. But
meh... whatever. I reawantwant groveling apologies from everyone to that
poor elf! I assume though that this development with Erestor still having
heart pains leaves room for a long, elaborate fading scene with glorfindel
then... right? (hint hint wink wink ^_^)

Oh, but what was up with Erestor's writing? I mean, is he incapable of
writing complete sentences or something? I thought he was Elrond's Chief
Councilor. Surely he should be able to writ coherently. I guess he was
still in shock or still under the influenece of whatever drug it was Baglor
was trying to feed him. Sorry. But that kind of struck me as a little
strange and wisshy wasshy there. At least he seemed able to write coherent
thoughts in the other chapter, which by the way, was one of my favorites so
    far!

I can't tell you how heartbroken I was when Glorfindel stormed out on
Erestor like that after talking to him about the baby's name, and leaving
him there to think he had once n ann angered our favorite Balrog slayer. I
loved the lone about Erestor still being unsure of everyone and how they
treat him, especially after habving his fragile trust brokener
    er
Glorfindel rejected him after Blaglor came forward as Erestor's "lover" It
really struck home about how badly Erestor's been hurt by everyone not
believing him and turning their backs on him, even the one person he thought
might have truly believed him and stuy hiy him even after his supposed
"lover" stepped forward. It really broke my heart...

Oh! But then Erestor and the baby! Oh my god you do not understand how
much I loved that scene! I told you once Erestor realized how much his son
needed him he would finally begin to realise he was still needed and loved.
And then he couldn't bare to part with him and took him back to Glorfindel's
room with him!! *Squeals and runs around in circles* I LOVED that part!!!
It was so sweet and heart warming, especially after all that angst with
Glorfindel. You know what would really be sweet is if the following morning
Glorfindel and Elladan go to check on the baby and find him missing then
begin to frantically search the palace, possibly thinking he was kidnapped
for some reason. Then, desperate but at a loss for what else to do,
Glorfindel goes to tell Erestor his son's missing only to find Erestor
already with taby.aby. I think it would be so sweet if Glorfindel came
across them with Erestor singing to the baby with his newly regained voice.
Wouldn't that be so cute?!?!?! Then Glorfindel and Erestor can make up and
our handsome blonde can apologize for how he stormed out the night before.
(I'm sorry, but I think he needs to apologize for that). The new little
fledging family could have some bonding time together then! *big goofy grin*
How cute would that be? Come on! Admit it! That would be so sweet! So
is Erestor finally going to name the baby now? I hope so. That would be so
sweet if Glorfindel came across him talking to the baby and singing to him
by name. Oh, you know what else would really make this is if the baby
begins to cry whenever someone tries to take him away from Erestor. You
know, kind of an inborn instinct that lets a child instinctively recognize
and know his own parent. THAT would really show Erestor how much he's
needed and wanted by his son.

But then, even though things seem to be looking up for our poor fallen
councelor, would that all be enough to save Ersot from fading? Perhaps it
will take BOTH Glorfindel and the baby to pull him back from the brink...
(*begins to chant in the backgrond 'fading scene! fading scene! fading
    scene!'* ^_^)

And what's this with Elrond? Is he still going to be an ass about this even
after all this with Baglor trying to poison Erestor? He can't possibly be
THAST dense or pig-headed!!! *sigh* He really is being an ass. I can only
hope that all this ambiguous talk between Thranduil and Viiresse means he
really is the father of Erestor's baby. That would just make my day. I
would pay to see that arrogant elf lord Elrond on his knees begging
forgiveness from Erestor for how badly he's treated him for the past year or
so. I would PAY!!! Valar, everyone in Imladris should apologize to Erestor
after all this! That poor poor elf! I can't tell you how heartbroken I
    th
thinking about that poor elf's situation. Being turned on like that by
everyone he's ever loved or cvared about... That's got to hurt...

You know (stupid random fact here of the day) there is a song that really
reminds me of this story. Have you ever heard "My Last Breath" by
Evanescence (track 10 on the album Fallen)? The song always brings to mind
this story. Not because of the actual words or lyrics, but because of the
tone of the song and how its sung with a certain note of sadness to it...
Like a person slowly dying and reflecting back on how they're alone with no
one else they loved there with them as they (as I quote from the song) 'fade
    away'.

I know! I know! I'm sounding really psycho here but it's true. If you've
never listened to it, I highly suggest you do. It's one of my top three
sons of all time. Seriously. And not just because it reminds me of your
fic, but because it's a really awesome song.

    Anyway! Back to my review!

Yeah, I'm eagerly lookiorwaorward to this meeting between Thran and and
Elrond. I really want to see him finally realize how badly he treated
Erestor. I may have said differently before in past reviews but I really
hope that Thranduil really is the father. If only to prove Elrond wrong...

I know I've asked this before, but where's Galadriel in all this? Is she
the one that will finally prove once and for all who's lying and who's
tellihe the truth? I really hope this all turns out for Erestor in the
end... I really do. Please say it does. that would be so sad and just...
wrong... for it not to after everything he's already suffered.

Anyway, please update soon! I'm really looking forward to another chapter
like you dio not understand! ou hou happen to get another chapter written
before aff.net gets back on line, can you please e-mail it to me? Even
better yet, do you have a site or homepage with your f thf there? Because I
REALLY want to see how this ends. It was only lucky that I was lazy and
didn't delete the last email you sent me, so I was able to find your email
address to send you this review. Please hurry soon with an update!
    PLEASE!!!!

    -daughterofthemidnightmoon

P.S. Because I love this story so much and was so inspired by your last
chapter, I was struck with inspiration and was like a big ball of burning
creative energy last night and drew a picture of Erestor holding his son.
It's just a simple sketch, but I thought you might like to see it seeing as
how your writing is what inspired me to draw it. I would send it to you
now, but my scanners on the fritz and I'm going to need to look at it so I
can send you it. Hopefully, I'll send it by sometime tonight. I hope you
    like it. Till then!

I'm glad that Galadriel and Celeborn are not blaming Erestor for anything yet, but hey you never know what could happen. So, is there *any* way for them to find out what really happened? I hope so...
