*sniffle* That has to be the sweetest most heart warming thing I've read in a long time. I almost wanted to cry at the sheer tenderness in it. *sighs happily* Finally. It took a long time to get here, but we have finally made it. Now how will the rest of the family react, I wonder. |^_^|

Excellent again, Eresse. Could have used more Legolas angst. But still, good-good-good.

I hope you're not thinking of finishing this series soon. After all, what happens after a couple comes together can be ten times more romantic than the original hookup, and I'm not talking about pillow-talk, lovey dovey stuff. There's much more that can be said, and you've proven that you can tell the story well.

A friend and I were talking about this story a few nights ago. We both agreed that IF Legolas ever grew a brain, he should have ork ork for Elrohir's forgiveness. I even went so far as to say that if Elrohir welcomed Legolas without any kind of struggle, I would loose all respect for Elrohir.

Then you tricked me. You did this on a night when I am *highly* hormonal.

A day ago I would might have reacted differently. Tonight, I wipe a tear from my eye and say, thank you. That was perfect.

Everybody hates Legolas now, but I feel awfully bad for him. I mean he had nobody to turn to. Really, it' is hard and uncomfortable enough to know that you are not welcomed and even hated by the people who your best friend rule, it seems nobody really cared to ease his discomfort or console him. (Except Elrohir ) All Arwen do is to force Legolas to admit his feelings toward Elrohir but didn't bother to ask or understand why Legolas is so troubled. All who knew of Elrohir 's feeling were upset and frustrated with Legolas but did they ever tried to reach out to legolas? All they do is to blame Legolas for beeing blinded, stubborn, bone headed brahbrahbrah... When you're confused you're CONFUSED though that dose not give Legolas any excuse to be so harsh. My stomach cringe for Elrohir. He is just too good of a person to be so unhappy. I hope and hope for the happy ending and also hope that everyone understand that Legolas, too was struggling the whole time, all alone with nobody to talke to. Elrohir got all the sympathy which he definitely deserve but I can not help to think it's unfair that Legoals gets blamed foeryterything that went wrong between him and Elrohir. ( I think giving Legoals the ring was bit too early ) I wonder if it made any defference Elladan and Legolas' sister were there ...
Anyhoo, WAHT AN AWSOME STORY!!! I hope you'll keep writing more even after this story finally ends.
    Thank you !!!

Wow Sarah, your review was *so* insightful. I'm not surprised that the wonderful complexity and subtlety that Eresse is bringing to her story of the relationship between Elrohir and Legolas is beyond your grasp. Perhaps you should just stick to NOT reviewing if you feel it necessary to be so rude.

AAHHHH!!!!!!!!! You are so cruel leaving us hanging there! This story is so good!! It is the first one I look for every day. Thank You so much for updating every day. Please, please update tonight. I can't wait to see Legolas and Elrohir together at last. You have drawn out the torment so deliciously!! I have been brought to tears from your writing. Poor Elrohir and all he has put up with through the long years. I really feel the long years their relationship has taken place. You have a very real talent for writing and making us visualize the events taking place. You also mak fee feel their emotions. The electricity between the two of them is fantastic and their friendship so sweet. By the end of chapter 15, I was yelling "At last!!". I can't wait to see what wonderful dialog you have created for us next!! WHERE DO YOU COME UP WITH THIS STUFF?? I hope when this story is ended, your creative juices are still running and you come up with another wonderful story.

I realize a lot of people hate Legolas right now; therefore, I find myself in the vast minority. Legolas is being willfully blind about his own feelings for Elrohir - that's a given. It's called stubbornness, which we have always known about Legolas and loved. You can't be stubborn in one aspect of life only, it pervades everything. Couple that with what he was taught since an elfling.... let's face it, he was taught to be homophobic. He got over it enough to tolerate it, but it has always been with the attitude that he himself was not "one of those". Even when he yielded to Elrohir, it was with the attitude that since he only did with one ellon and felt nothing for other ellon, well that's all right. Shaky logic, but logic doesn't really mean muchn itn it comes to matters like this. It's NOT EASY to get over what you were taught as truth since the moment you were born! Legolas has always been in denial about that aspect of himself. Until he could accept that, there' way way he could accept Elrohir's love. Even the term he used shows his denial. He "yielded" to Elrohir's desire - he didn't accept it.

If Elrohir had been a female, these issues wouldn't exist and Legolas would have unguarded his heart long ago (I think). It's easy for Arwen and the others to condemn Legolas right now, since they only see Lego's r's refusal to accept Elrohir's love. They don't see that he is struggling not with accepting Elrohir's love, but accepting his own duality.

Of course, there is also Legolas's issues with love in general. He has guarded his heart for so long. In truth that puzzles me a bit more than his other issue. But there's one thing that I keep thinking about. Legolas and Elrohir have been close for SO LONG. I mean, in human terms I think Legolas would have been a teenager when he and Elrohir became friends while Elrohir was an adult. It's fairly safe to say that Legolas has had Elrohir almost all his life. In other words, Legolas can barely recall a time he didn't have Elrohir in his life. He has always had that bedrock of love and support. It seems that his fear of love stems from a fear of loss. Perhaps, for whatever reason, he equates the one with the other, and he fears that to give his heart to Elrohir will ultimately mean losing him?

At any rate, it took coming dangerously close to losing Elrohir for Legolas to see the light. I say dangerously close because I refuse to believe he will be too late when he gets back to Minas Tirith. *grin*

Changing the subject, I am so glad that Gethron is out of the picture. He really irritated me. Talk about deep-seated prejudices, look at the men of Gondor and their Elvish issues! And then to take those fears and twist them to own's personal gaine the that... *shakes head* Disgusting little man.

You really made my day with the two updates. What a wonderful Friday I will have now! Thanks so much, Er. Sh.
