You cannot imagine just how terribly difficult you've made it for me to find a sufficienly pleasing fic after reading this.

Please, please, PLEASE do consider writing another story involving Elrohir/Legolas. I don't suppose you'd write about their children's life?

    Eresse,

JOB WELL DONE! The Greenleaf & Imladris series has I think by far replaced another favorite mpreg story of mine. This was beautifully written throughout. As another reviewer stated, I think that a website for this series and more would be a wonderful idea. You are a brilliant author, please keep writing! And thank you for sharing with us.

I can't believe it's over! But it was a beautiful ending and while I was hoping for them to have a girl, I love that they had non-identical twins. I'm sure they will keep their parents on their toes!

I look forward to Twilight Tales!

My reviews have been, sadly, quite absent of late. I do have an excuse, however. You see, my heart broke when Elrohir died, and I had no words. I knew that he would be resurrected (how could he not?), but I was equally sure that the road would be long and painful for our Greenleaf. So I waited and refrained from reading any further until I felt it was safe to do so. Well, it took quite a few hours, but now I am caught up to the bittersweet end.

I think my reading of Part 29 in one sitting helped give me a slightly different perspective on the story. I think I would have been satisfied with that ending on its own, but I thoroughly enjoyed Part 30 also. I find it plausible for the Valar to be able to grant Elrohir's wish - a single Valar created the race of dwarves, after all (something Iluvatar didn't approve of), their powers are not to be belittled. The only thing that startled me was the thought that they might grant additional male Elves the ability to have children. I had this strange mental image of Elbereth and Melian running to and fro the various Elven realms to help "birth" these children. And just to show how strangely my mind works, I immediately began worrying about things like overpopulation (no deaths + increased births = crowded Aman), the inevitable shifting of "government" as evidenced by the existence of the Council, and the effects of ennui on thees. es. *sigh* But I digress.

One of my favorite things about this series is that it does take into account "the big picture". As much as we love Elrohir and Legolas, the world does not revolve solely around them. There are such things as politics, societal pressures, and not-so-nice Elves (and non-Elves) in the world that Eresse has created. This gives a senf ref realism to the story that makes it all the more plausible for me. Of course I realize this is fantasy, but it's much easier to suspend one's disbelief when there's a foundation we can relate with.

I hope you feel a great sense of accomplishment. As a reader, one can never truly appreciate the amount of time and effort that goes into a story, much less an epic of such great propons ons as this. You've created a storyline that blends beautifully into Tolkien's realm - and you stuck with it to the very end. It takes great dedication and love to finish something of this magnitude, and that alone makes you stand out.

A very sincere thank you for posting. Your story captivated my imagination ande mee me something to look forward to on a daily basis. It is indeed with a sense of regret that I write, for I will miss the sense of anticipation I hveryvery morning. I wish you well in all your endeavors, and may your inkwell never run dry.

    *sigh* I can't believe it's over.

I read the last two chapters a few hours ago and waited to leavrevireview until I could come up with the right words. But to borrow the words from another reviewer, I have to say that I don't have sufficient words to thank you for sharing this epic with us.

You've given us the best of slash. Too often two males are thrown together with one becoming "soft" (*rolls eyes...not THAT kind of soft!). Both will begin as strong personalities, but through the course of the relationship, one usually seems to become the weaker of the two. You've avoided that, much to my relief. You've also given us a much more believable vision - one where not *everyone* is "slashed." A world that embraces both hetero as well as homo is a world of much more depth. LOL Do I really need to say that your sense of the erotic most times left me wishing that *either* of these wonderful Elves would magically appear in my bed?

And you managed to pull off the MPREG in a way that didn't make me regret I'd read it!! BIG thumbs up to you on that one! I somehow knew you'd be able to pull it off. Thanks for not disappointing, yet again.

I'm looking forward to Twilight Tales, and reading more about the new twins as well as Glorfindel and Erestor. Umm...any idea when we can expect the first of the Tales? No pressure, mind you. LOL Just curious. *S*

Again, thank you. G&I will be greatly missed.

To Daisy: I wrote G&I in bits and pieces and as a hobby over a period of ten years. Which is why some parts may have seemed experimental like To Have and To Hold. I had no intention of posting the series when I first wrote it.

To Creashuns: Eledhmir means "Elf-treasure" while Miranor is "treasure of the sun."

To the question about whether there will be stories on the new twins and Glorfindel and Erestor: Yes. In Twilight Tales. I just didn't want to draw G&I out and longer than it was already!

To everyone, thanks again. I will try to respond to your other questions via email.

    warmest regards,
    Eresse

Oh my, this is my last review? I hope not! Eresse, you should have added to your warning at the very start of this series that it could be addictive and that it may cause you severe separation anxiety in the end! I guess this somewhat resembles what the LOTR cast must have felt at the very end of shooting ROTK. Although I can understand that theirs was mixed with a feeling of relief; ours does not for how can we feel relieved when it's over, finally over???? :(((((( Well, I would have wanted for this last arc to be longer so I was quite stunned when I saw the bold letters COMPLETED before I read the last chapters. But I love these last ones as ever. How ominous really for Legolas to take care of Elrohir when he was a child. How could he have guessed that he would actually be doing so in the not so distant future. And Elladan's cajoling about suckling by Elrohir, milk or no from Legolas turned out to be also prophetic. Hmmm, I also like the way the Powers intervened - I sort of anticipated it because Legolas' case is unique - which brings me to the point of your brilliant writing again. Although this is mpreg, you never denied it's inherent impossibility and had to emphasize it all throughout the story that this is an exceptional occurrence, so much so that Legolas had a difficult time reconciling it with his own self assessment as a warrior elf and as a male elf. There are a lot of stories which treat mpreg as though it was as natural as buying fruit from the market. I know this is done because we are in the world of fiction. And you could have written your story along this category of "fiction within fiction" but I think it would have sacrificed the integrity of the whole series because although G&I is still fiction, you wrote it realisticallly, even taking time to explain the duality in elves to justify their bonding to either sex. Reading what Legolas went through in giving birth reminded me also of my c-section, all three of them - the pain, dull ache, everything including the joy after seeng your child for the first time. Thanks again for such a wonderful series. Please reconsider and ponder of the possibility of adding a little more so we can read about the twins tender years and their parent's loving. Your followers do not ask much, they ask too much, but I hope you reconsider. I'm already waiting for twilight tales hopefully to get shreds of G&I side stories. Many thanks again for sharing this series with us.

I loved this Series!! One question, you did not give the meaning of the Elrohir's and Legolas's elfling's names... What does Eledhand and Mîranor mean??

Oh, absolutely magnificent. Thank you for writing such a wonderful series, this fandom is much the richer for it. Perfectly paced storyline, nothing happening before its due time. The diction was a pleasure. Bravo.
