This story is hot stuff! I have been reading it for a while now an realised that I had not reviewed it yet...sorry. I love the different take you have on the whole Mirkwood, Imladris elven war and that Legolas has unwittingly and through no fault of his own ended up at the center and PREGNANT?!!! Now that is a new on on me...yet surprisingly I find I like that too.

Glorfindel's character is truely an inigma to me, soft and caring one minute and harst and cruel the next, very confusing indeed, yet very captivating.

I look forward to the next instalment and apologise again for not reviewing before.

Lady Legolas -- as to whether Legolas truly "loves" Glorfindel, or not.... Certainly he is sexually attracted to, and dominated, by him. Certainly he is dependent on him, for his safety, and for the safety of his child. But love implies mutual respect, liking, and trust, common values and goals -- and none of these seem apparent (with respect to Legolas' feelings towards Glorfindel), with the exception that both Legolas and Glorfindel are concerned for the well being of their child (a common goal). Apart from that, though.... there is no real basis for respect, trust, or common vs...s... and while there are little glimpses here and there of liking (such as when Glorfindel is in a "playful" mood), I don't think you can extrapolatet tot to love.

On the other hand, Glorfindel's feelings towards Legolas do seem to be evolving, and I think it is more than just a case of focusing on the well being of his heir. Lately Glorfindel is admiring Legolas' inner courage (deeply buried, for sure), and is showing him more compassion. One *almost* begins to wonder if it is *Glorfindel* that is the one that is falling in love -- to the extent that such a personality *can* love. (I have to say that I know nothing about d/s relationships, and this aspect of this whole storyline rather gives me the willies.... Glorfindel seriously revolted me initially, and I doubt that I will ever really love this portrayal/instance of him, but he does seem to be improving, and showing some positive personality traits.)

Gah, I must have checked 20 times at least today for the update! Where is it, eh, Precious? We wants it!!

Now you're making me guilty.Just kidding. It's just that Legolas doesn't seem to get a break from Glorfindel.Yeah he saved Celeidur from a fate worse than death but in exchange he made Legolas pleasure his own brother.I would like to admit though that of all torture(you name it)stories including ones fron FF.net,I like,no,love this story.I hope that Glorfindel does truly soften-up towards Legolas. And as for Legolas being turned-on,well,I must admit that it is done the way I like(not in a perverted way)it.Though I'm now wondering if Legolas even truly loves Glorfindel.Does he?

Lady Legolas -- no need to apologize to me! Now you're making *me* feel bad... my apologies to you, if I have caused any offense.

For all that there are aspects of this story that I don'ke (ke (I am a natural critic, lol), I agree with you that congratulations are due to the author. The story certainly is compelling.... darkly and seductively compelling. I'd almost call it a guilty pleasure... with emphasis on the guilt and a question mark on the pleasure. Yet I am helpless to stop reading it, which is a testimony to the author's talent.

Anyway, it does look hopeful now -- Glorfindel seems to be having a change of heart, and maybe things will work out well for the two brothers.

And it's killing me having to wait for each of these too short chapters!

So, it seems that Glorfindel is not so bad after all. He really cares for Legolas... And Celeirdur is getting nicer for his poor pregnant brother, too. Hmm... It's quite suspicious... :)

Lady of Legolas -- I'm confused by your comments. You think that it's *not* unrealistic for Legolas to be so, um, sexually responsive? Gotta disagree there.... I just can't buy the one-touch orgasm bit... for that matter, considering the humiliation and generally stressful/negative emotions scenario of the last part, I even found it too much to believe that Legolas was aroused when he was kissing his brother. Teenaged hormones augmented by pregnancy, or not. JMHO.

As for the treatment that Legolas and Celeidur received being impetur war war.... well, for whatever reason (this *still* has not been explained to us -- another given that we are forced to accept) there is already at least a state of cold war between the kingdoms. I agree that any harsh treatment of Celeidur (Mirkwood crown prince and hostage) is potentially grounds for escalating the conflict, which is why I was surprised at Glorfindel's allowing it. (And wait a minute, didn't Elrond and Celeborn have any say in this?? They both outralorflorfindel, right?) Ostensibly, it seemed like it was to break down his pride, and maybe make him understand his brother's situation better. (Why Glorfindel would want the latter....? And if that was his intent, things have only taken a small step in that direction.) I am kind of wondering if maybe it was more slanted towards making him understand the feelings and situation of the Noldo prisoners in Mirkwood... maybe, upon his release, Celeidur would sympathize and effect better treatment for them. (On the other hand, under what possible conditions would the Imladris/Lorien Elves *want* to release him? Only to avoid open bloody warfare... which would have been a backfiring of their whole snatch-the-prince plan to begin with. This also supposes that Thranduil would barter a peace for the sake of getting his heir back, and given how monstrous we have seen Thranduil to be, one has to wonder.... there *are* other brothers, after all, 't 't there? And we *still* don't know the history and causes of the conflict, so we don't know if bartering back one abused hostage is a realistic scenario. (Just a bunch of musings here... it's not clear where things are going, but it seems that ultimately there has to be some sort of resolution of tensions between the Elven realms.))

Still, there are glimmers of hope in this installment (despite more unrealism -- Glorfindel is just leaving their prizetagetage Celeidur there in his room, apparently with no concern that he might recover enough to escape??? C'mon.). Glorfindel is showing compassion to both Legolas (no use/abuse, no threats of punishment, delayed or otherwise) and Celeidur. Glorfindel is actually defending Legolas, against any potential brotherly abuse. Wow... amazing. Hope this trend continues. And Celeidur... he says that their father will never forgive Legolas, but it is not clear if the same applies to him. It'll be interesting to see where this goes...

Okay, THAT was a sweet chapter. :-) Glorfindel AND big brother have somewhat redeemed themselves in my eyes....

I'm glad Legolas is showing some of his damped-down pride and guts again...and that Glorfindel is being protective and caring. And now Legolas's brother is being...brotherly??? Co-oool....

Babies bring people together in the most amazing ways.

    More, more, please!!

I want to comment on Elflover's criticism.I kind of agree that just because Legolas is pregnant means that his hormones can go haywire. It's showing that whether or not Legolas' pregnancy can be an excuse for his raging libido. He's just plain horny.Sorry any anyway,it goes to show that the Noldor doesn't want peace because if Thranduil finds out that Legolas and his brother weren't treated(doesn't matter if they deserved it)right,it's war between those two elven realms.Too much war going on right now in the real world.

One more additional comment.... this time, a criticism, alas. I'm sorry, but I really can't keep refrain from commenting on this.

I know that Legolas is young, and I concede that pregnancy hormones may affect the sexual response (in at least some individuals), and that Legolas (for whatever perverse reason) is eroticized by Glorfindel's touch.

Still... it seems highly unrealistic to me to have him come at just a touch... especially in a situation as portrayed in this part -- with hostile witnesses, being forced into something he doesn't want to do, experiencing desperation/fear/grief and humiliation in the situation. It simply does not seem realistic at all, and in fact, is somewhat jarring in its unbelievability. And this is not the first time that this has happened...

If you want to add to his angst/torment by forcing orgasms on him, well, that's per perogative. I just wish that you'd be a bit more believable about it (a single touch??!!!) -- especially given all the other things that we readers must disbelieve for the sake of this story ( Elv Elves, a long-standing war-that-isn't-a-war?, mpreg, a weak and submissive Legolas...).

    Interesting....

Legolas is punished by being forced to kiss his brother... but fortunately not the type of kiss Haldir/Elladan had in . (. (Maybe there is more punishment waiting, privately, but I guess we have to wait and see on that. At least the humilation factor won't be as large.)

Legolas' brother showing some weakness, and submitting to Legolas?? Was this for Legolas' sake, or for his own sake? Interesting development.

Good on Glorfindel -- Haldir and Elladan really are as bad, if not worse, than he is -- I'm glad that he took the prince away from them. Now, the question is, will he *keep* the prince away from them? Will he have determined that the prince has suffered enough to have had an attitude adjustment -- one that will help them achieve peace with Mirkwood? (I am still not quite right with the idea of treating hostages in such a way -- if nothing else, it seems counter-intuitive to their use in negotiations, if not downright dishonorable. But then, one way or another, it seems like there is *no* elf in this story that does not have a cruel streak, excepting Legolas. Even Elrond and Celeborn!)

Finally, I'm with JastaElf -- will Glorfindel recognize Legolas' inner strh, ch, courage, loyalty, etc. etc.? He has already seen some of his courage, and recognized his compassion. Will there be forgiveness/understanding/respect for hoyaloyalty to his brother?

Thank you for updating daily. I do wish the chapters were longer, though. (* greedy reader *)
