    *sigh*

No happy ending, fer sure.... Poor Legolas, *nothing* left for him, except his child... and a life of degradation and slavery and more child-bearing under Glorfindel. If ever there were a cause for suicidal angst....

Stupid of Thranduil, though, to send the crown prince into enemy territory. And, I have to say, for a male, he sure sounds like a girl, with all that hissing....

It seems that my review from yesterday didn't go through.Okay,Legolas' disowned him and Glorfindel is still an arrogant bastard. It will be really sad if Legolas' child will be born not out of love.I want to know what will happen to Legolas' brother or to Thranduil for that matter now both his sons are in Rivendell. Will he relent or risks the lives of his sons?

What a nice and fluffy chapter... :-) but I personally think Legolas didn't suffer enough... *evil smile* the idea Haldir is in the same room when ---- you know *g* --- is VERY nice, too. You should write it.

What about Thranduil? If I were him, I would declare war! ;-)

A masterpiece, nethertheless. But too much chocolate makes Glorfindel lazy. Eat some hot spiced tacos next time if you write the next chapter!

With the famous evil smile you know... your Glorfindel ;-); the one who always wants MORE....!

    Part 17...

    *moan*

It just gets worse and worse....

Why do I think that evil, vile Glorfindel is going to make good on his threat (or fantasy, or whatever).... To flaunt his mastery over Legolas, while taunting and tormenting Haldir at the same time.... What a power rush that would be for him!

    Such degradation for Legolas..... *moan*

You realize that your readers (some of them, anyhow) are suffering right along with Legolas, don't you??? Cruel, wicked author....

It is too much to hope for any kind of happy ending now.... other than for vile Glorfindel.

We readers must grit our teeth and strengthen ourselves, to see this through to the bitter end.

    NEXT CHAPTER, PLEASE!

I forgot to ask something.Okay, there was or still is a conflict between Mirkwood and the Noldor. What really started the conflict and who threw the first punch, arrow or whatever? And I'll ask this again, will Glorfindel ever love Legolas or at t bet be nicer to him?As for Legolas, what is his reason for being so submissive to Glorfindel or the other Noldor for that matter? He's a prince and he just gave himself to Glorfindel to do as he pleases just because he got pregnant by him?Me thinks that there is an alterior motive(or I'm embarassing myself)for Legolas to give himself to Glorfindel. There's a soon-to-be-born child involve in this mess and I don't think that child to suffer the consequences.Poor Leggy!!!Hugs and kisses for him.

I wanted to add a couple of thoughts to the above.

We know that all the other Elves want Legolas for their amusement and/or revenge, and Glorfindel has denied them this. Haldir seems so hungry, that you have to wonder if he is going to try something anyway. (I doubt that Elladan would... he has to live in the same household as Glorfindel, after all, and would have to respect him as tutor and his father's friend. These constraints don't apply to Haldir, and Haldir seems to very much have a personal malice against Legolas and his family.)

One thing that wasn't explained was just how Haldir knew Legolas by sight. Had he been to Thranduil's court as an envoy from Lorien? (Do they even have diplomatic relations, given the "conflict", whose exact scope and nature is still vague Or Or is it the case that Haldir, and perhaps his brothers, were one of those patrols taken by force, and Haldir eventually managed to escape? (Maybe his brothers are still Thranduil's unwilling "guests"?)

    Comments on Part 16...

*moan* No, no, aughhhh, anguish, Legolas just GIVING IN??!! Aughhhhhh!

I suppose, under the circumstances, that it is somewhat plausible that he finally breaks and gives in... but it is SO sad to see it. And evil (yes, evil!) Glorfindel, rubbing the fact of his submission into him. Where is my bow?! Where are my barbed arrows??!

(I've been considering the whole scenario, and wondering if Legolas isn't at least in part a victim of the Middle-Earth equivalent of the Stockholm Syndrome. But there's something more at work here, it seems. Glorfindel seems to think that Legolas is inherently a submissive. I really, really, really do not want to buy that -- it is so at odds with the Legolas that we love! But I am considering also the fact that Legolas was a virgin when Glorfindel first took him.... and the first sexual experience can have profound psychological and emotional consequences. Apparently, in this case, very damaging consequences.)

I suspect that Glorfindel is now going to test Legolas' submission, probably testing him very hard and very publicly. Groan -- I don't think that I want to see it. I also don't want to see what happens when Thranduil eventually (somehow or other it has to happen) sees/meets/confronts Legolas. (I can just see.... no, no, banish those vile thoughts!)

The multi-piece-of-mithril question is, what happens when the baby is born (or when/if Legolas miscarries)?? It seems like any promises/deals of submission to Glorfindel are off at that point -- Glorfindel has already made it plain that the child will be his heir, and in either case, there is no longer a pregnancy to protect. Will Legolas finally find his spine and seek to regain his lost honor? Or will he have been permanently broken as Glorfindel's submissive sex slave? This last, I don't want to see. This last, would call for a mercy killing. (One begins to sympathize with how Thranduil, himself apparently evil, is going to feel about all of this.)

    Please, longer chapters??

OK, I am thoroughly confused, at this point. I had a feeling, given Glorfindel's almost non-reaction to the news, that he was not as angry as the others were.... after all, it is to his advantage that Legolas is a Prince and not a stable-boy. (grin) But I did get the feeling, from his reaction (or lack thereof) that he was very unhappy... and that Legolas was going to suffer for it, because he had lied to Glorfindel. Instead, some very calm and sensible planning goes on--then Glorfindel returns to his chamber and acts in a very loving manner with the terrified young Prince.

I do not think Legolas really has any plans up his sleeve, but I could be wrong. I think though that he has simply given in because he realizes there are forces at work here that are more powerful than he is--and that if he is to salvage the life and existence of his child, he needs to give in.

Still... there is the simple fact that Glorfindel loves it when Legolas is naughty and talks back or defines him... and gets hard and randy the moment the punishment starts... then immediately forgives and takes Legolas back into his arms. CLASSIC dom/sub stuff, and very nicely done...

You have me completely hooked by this story. (grin) Please, please, I beg of you, let there be another new chapter soon....
