Ophirianne.... actually, you can count me in as one of those that don't understand the nature of D/s relationships.... To be truthful, aspects of this story rather revolt me. (To also be truthful, I can't stop reading it.)

But at least we are united in the hope that eventually Legolas will be accepted back by his Mirkwood family. The thought that all he has in Arda are Glorfindel and his son..... *sigh*

Also, the upcoming story (after this one finishes, which I actually hope won't be for a while, yet) concerns Elrohir as the main character. Though of course I also hope that we see Celeduir during the course of that story. (Though I don't think that I want to see him begging.... I doubt that that would happen anyway -- he seems rather strong-willed.)

    Quote me;

"After reading over a lot of reviews i get the impression a lot of your readers don't understand the nature of this kind of a D/s relationship.

Actually i was reading the reviews over at FanFiction.net- not here. Some readers over there seem confused and upset about this story.

WOW! This story is amazing! I really love the way you have worked to show the developement of a lifelong Master/slave relationship between Glorfindel and Legolas. Glorfindel is obviously carefully weaving psychological and emotional chains around Legolas- ch tha that will last a lifetime and not be broken even if and when Legolas returns to Mirkwood and eventually becomes the hotshot Prince and member of the Fellowship. Glorfindel loves Legolas- as a pet and a possestion- but loves him nevertheless. And no matter what else happens to Legolas, he will essentially always remain Glorfindel's beloved pet- yum. After reading over a lot of reviews i get the impression a lot of your readers don't understand the nature of this kinda D/a D/s relationship. They mistake Glorfindel's discipline and possessiveness as creulty and see it as a bad thing. Far from the case- its quite delicious in fact. I love your Glorfindel though i would like to see Legolas start to display a little bit more stength and nobility and be allowed to do more "masculine" things like shoot a bow and arrow and ride a horse- all within the framework of his submission to Glorfindel of course. And yes if there is a reade str straw poll i would like to see Legolas get back in good graces with his family eventually and return to being the Prince of Mrikwood- but never stop being Glor's slave.

I really was sorry to see Celeirdúr written out of the story so quickly. I was picturing him as a little bit more mature, little bit more hotheaded version of Legolas. I pictured him as being just as wanton and i wanted to see him beg as badly Haldir and Elladan did. When he ended up in Glorfindels bed i was sure you would have Glorfindel teach him what it means to submit and how submission can build you up- not just break you down. But i see youhave him saved for another story- i will be waiting for his return. In the short time he made his appearance in your story he has indeed captured my imagination.

    Keep writing!!

p.s. Glad he finally had the baby! Odd to think Leg and his son will be more as peers than parent/child since they are essentially so close in age. They will practically be growing up together.

Finally, one more thought (having slept on the latest installment).

Glorfindel supposedly has limits to the amount of pain that he is going to inflict (you could have fooled me), and feels that the pain of labor and birth is well beyond those limits.

Now that he knows that he can get Legolas pregnant, there should be a conflict between his sexual/domination desires and desire for heirs, versus (presumably) not wanting to inflict that level of pain on Legolas again. A conflict, need I say, that will need to be resolved.

Ahh, Esteliel, you are not finisheth tth this story yet, not by a long shot! (* satisified smirk *)

And none of this "....after several weeks/months/?, their relationship returned to its previous pattern....". Details, we want details!

hmmm.... the more I think about this last chapter, the more I think that it isn't love (for Legolas) that Glorfindel is expressing/experiencing, so much as it is maybe fear and panic due to loss of control. Think about it... this whole labor/birth scenario, threatening Legolas' life (and potentially the child's life as well), is one that is completely out of Glorfindel's control. And having and exercising control is a *major* facet of Glorfindel's personality.

    *whew* *pant* *whew*

What an agonizing chapter! *pant* But the birth is FINALLY over! And it looks like Legolas will survive. *whew*

I don't know what to make of Glorfindel.... he looks at his son with love... but denies any love for Legolas. Obviously he's feeling *something*, but I just can't figure it out.

Now what's to come....? Is that punishment still hanging over Legolas? (Or will Glorfindel feel that he's suffered enough, just by giving birth?) Will Glorfindel change his behavior towards Legolas in some positive way?? Or will he still treat him as a possession? (I can't see any improvement in Legolas' treatment by the Imladris Elves, treaty or no treaty, until and unless Glorfindel sets the example himself. So long as Legolas is wearing knots of possession in his hair, he's going to be treated as a thing, parent of Glorfindel's heir or not.) Will there ever be any reconciliation between Legolas and Thranduil, and will Thranduil ever get any comeuppance? (One could wish, now that there is some normality of relations, that Glorfindel would send a birth announcement to Mirkwood...ong ong with a by-the-way, you realize, don't you, that this is all your fault?? gloating note....)

Please keep those chapters coming, and looking forward eventually to Elrohir's story. (Which, hopefully, won't be a *short* story!)

Yippeee!! another chapter! And the baby has finally been born! Wise of Elrond, to realize that Glorfindel's stress was affecting Legolas....

So! Glorfindel claims he doesn't care that much, that it is merely possession... I think he's fooling himself. :-) I think he *does* love Legolas in some manner, and does not want to call it that....

I wonder what they'll name the baby. I'm betting it's SO not going to be Thranduil.... ;-)

And will Glorfindel be kind and doting during Legolas's recovery? And will he keep his word to cherish and protect? And will some people stop being mean to Legolas now?

Will Jasta ever stop asking questions?? (grin)

Good to have you back. And of course as always, I hope there will be more soon!

    Let's try this again.... ;-)

I'm SO glad you're back, and hopefully feeling better!! We were worried about you. It's good to have tou back--and good to see another chapter!

I feel as if the political situation is getting wrapped up WAY too quickly and conveniently... but I'm not too discomfited by that, because I really care more about what's happening with Legolas and Glorfindel. I am VERY worried about the poor youngling and his baby, who is insisting apparently on coming NOW... with great pain and hurting...

And yes, it does seem as if Glorfindel is more than a little upset over the thought of losing Legolas--not because he is a possession, but because Glorfindel cares about him. That is nice to see.

Kind of spooky to consider what must happen for Legolas to give birth...

I hope there will be more soon!! Welcome back!
