Ever the tease our Elladan is! I would certainly not have expected them to just jump eachother after I read that Imrahil was still mourning for his wife, so you have made me happy with this chapter. No hurries, but patience...something that was also taught during G&I *bg*

Wonderful chapter! Imrahil does have an unusual degree of self-control, I must say...Couldn't we all manage to deal with your Elladan in front of a fire! I am really enjoying this story. Please write faster! : )

And thank you SO MUCH for your review of 'Shadows'- it made my day!

Fancy that! There really *is * something to be said for impossible workloads – I get to read two chapters ... yay! And now that I've read said two chapters, I think you may have just accomplished the impossible Eresse - not only am I not in the least concerned with Elrohir and Legolas as a couple but I think I'm really starting to love Elladan! No don't faint.

Imrahil continues to enthrall me. He's such a self-effacing person and that is so refreshing. You really convey the sense that he is *devastated* by the loss of his beloved wife while at the same time wildly attracted to Elladan. Initially I wondered if Imrahil's regard was just a case of 'elf worship' it seemed so subtle to me - though yes I did realise there had to be more than just admiration - the pairing is Imrahil/Elladan after all! Still, I like the languid path the romance has taken so far because it has allowed me to appreciate Imrahil, to allow me to see what *Elladan* must see in him. Elladan I wasn't so sure about but I guess I should have more faith in you huh? I love his bluntness, but for all that he really is gallant, while still the being a take-charge kind of Elf! goi going to enjoy watching him guide Imrahil down the 'ancient path'. Yum.

As always I'm looking forward to the next part. |~_^|

    Marie :-)

BTW - (warning: spoiler slut making her appearance) just *how* many parts will we be enjoying of this story? Cheers!

    Chapter 4
Nice chapter, especially the last scene.
Well the poor prince lost his wife and gets to go to Ithilien to recover. And who does he meet? Of course. Legolas and the twins. Yippee.
I really did like the conversation between Imrahil and Elladan. The discussion of grief and how elves can't grieve forever or they will fade. Grief can really take the color out of life for a human. Imrahil needs to come up out of it. I am sure that Elladan will be glad to help.
The kiss was just great. I don't blame him for not being able to sleep. giggle

    Chapter 3
Well if Elladan didn't have scruples, Imrahil would have more than proved he was at least partly of elf kind.
Just thinking about two partly clad, hot, sweaty part elf guys fighting in a deserted yard is way enough for musing about tonight. Since havehave TBC at the end I am sure we will get to read about the two of them later.
I was glad that Imrahil finally could force himself to return for those nightly gab fests. In Middle Earth you got a chance to hang around others way to seldom.
I look forward to more of these two. giggle

    Chapter 2
The Peredhil certainly know the meaning of love. Elrohir sure proved that. What he put up with for millenia was unreal.
I thought your cnts nts on the exotic nature of the Peredhil was right on the mark. Being between elf and man they could have the best of both and could really attract both races.
Elladan that little stinker. What a come on he is. giggle

    Chapter 1
Oh those Peredhil. They are like bees flitting from flower to flower leaving a trail of broken hearts behind. Someone told me that once about thirty five years ago and I have never had a chance to repeat it till now. I am thrilled I got the chance.
Actually the way you describe them I can see why elves and men, women and female elves follow them around and gaze admiringly.
I really liked Elladan giving Legolas the high sign. "Whoo hoo, the tent is up for grabs." Grin. I am sure Elrohir will be glad of Elladan's little walk.
And trying to stay with Gimli and his snoring, grin, a little movieverse here. A least Elladan got quiter quarters than that.
This discussion of the dual nature of elves again. The little tiny points to Imrahil's ears was a nice touch. I look forward to seeing where this goes. giggle

Great story. This must be another AU story and seperate from G&I. Could it be possible that Imrahil could becone full elven. He already has some features only full elves have. Please don't make Elladan mortal or die of grief. Please keep on writing as long as you do I will contunie reading.

Oh, already I really *like* Imrahil Eresse! And I have a sneaking suspicion I'm even going to like Elladan in this one too! *wink* Seriously, I thought it may have been a little difficult, considering how much I loved your portrayal of Elrohir/Legolas in G&I to see past *that* pairing, but I can safely say that I don't think that's going to be a problem AT ALL. Which is not to say I wouldn't enjoy learning more about how they got together but I find myself more interested in Imrahil. He seems unaware of what his feelings for Elladan portend, actually quite disconnected from his Elven heritage as a whole. I like how perceptive he seems and his, I don't know modest? nature. Elladan will be able to teach him much I've no doubt! I also want to know more about *this* incarnation of Elladan because he feels very different to the G&I version you gave us. As I said, I don't think I'll have any problems investing in this story!

Standard request: update again soon. ~_^

I just wanted to let you know how glad I am that you decided to post the Twilight Tales. I've been enjoying these brief snippets, but I hope this particular one won't be so brief. I've always been quite taken with Imrahil, even though there's so little of him in LOTR, and I was very disappointed when neither he nor the twins were in the movies. Well, now I can drool over him anyway! Thank you!

heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeey wait a second! I thought Elladan said he hadn't slept with anyone after meeting Nimethial!! (can't remember if that is her name...) Or wait...is this a definite AU from G&I?? ok then, you're forgiven. ~_^ MOOOOOOOORE!! I WANT MOOOOORE!! *snickers*

My first reaction was 'hmm...interesting!' and I am still thinking that *bg* So a multi-chapter part of the Twilight Tales, very interesting! So, keep on writing...really, I think I have said that in all my reviews, but it does seem to work! :)
