Reviews for Deeper Waters

    Addendum to my earlier review:
By the way, the person who complained that the end of chapter 9 was offensive is a total dope. I thought it was way hot! What the hell is she (trust me, it has to be a she) doing on an adultfanfiction site if she's so prudish? You're characterization of Faramir was spot on. Every red-blooded male would have done the same. I was just waiting for him to ask the ten million dollar question -- i.e. "Can I watch?"! I'm not into the guy/guy stuff. I clicked on your story because you had "HET" in the summary (along with male/male or "slash" or whatever) and I basically skimmed the story and skipped whatever wasn't my thing. But chapter 9 was definitely my thing, which is why I'm still pissed that you just dropped it right when it was heating up! AAARRGH! You can still always write a little epilogue or something... *hint, hint*...

I can't believe you ending chapter 9 like that! Tease! How could you drop it like that? You MUST finish that scene! Please...

I just thought I had to comment on this one little line before I moved on:

“Aye, in your mouth first,” said Legolas.

Wow...I mean, seriously wow. That was like so hot that I was all like "Ooooh!" So very hot...

Okay! I'm done! On with the rest of the story! ^_^ (I'm such a perv...)

I know you just finished this story, but I want more in this universe! This was great work and I love how you portray the characters. The way Imrahil and Aragorn talked on one level, with the meaning on a whole different one, was fabulous and dead on the mark. I love these characters and want to see of their "lives", especially how Legolas and Imrahil's relationship is developing. I hope you're planning more and am very eager to read it!

Hi. This is the last chapter of this fiction but not the last chapter of this series(at least I hope so) because there are still many questions without answers. I loved the love scnes between legolas/Imrahil, they were really hot. I wonder what Elrond will say about legolas situation(two loves). I really hope you will continue it, if yon'on't let me tell you that you really did a wonderful job with those fictions. Congratulations!!!

Just one word. Incomparable. I eagerly look forward to the final chapter and how you will resolve the tricky matter of that bond. Because it hardly seems fair for Imrahil to continue being troubled by something he had no part in no matter if he is willing to endure the consequences. And as for Legolas--eternity is simply too long a time to carry such a burden.

Hi. I loved the talk between Legolas/Imrahil, there was some tension, but also love and understanding. I really didn't understand the logic behind Aragorn's plan to Help Rosalind and Imrahil's son. Why d hed her brother see her place in Aragorn's Court more advantageous than to marry a prince's son? And I'm curious does Rosalind's brother know about her sordid affair with Eowyn? And Eomer does he know also? And if he knows, what was his reaction towards his "faithful and loyal" sister?

That was a GREAT chapter. Lots of lovely Aragorn-angst and it was satistying, yet heart-wrenching to see the love and want still strongly there between Aragorn and Legolas. *Sigh* I just love this whole series. Your OC are also very real with their own strong voices and stories, though I am still overly partial to the Aragorn-Legolas-Imrahil triangle. Good work and I just want more, more, more!

Very touching chapter! At the end Aragorn could show that he is indeed a nice, noble and generous man. It was not easy for him to see one of his loves( the greater one) finds happiness with another man, he was hurt, he was jelous but he knew that to deny this to Legolas would mean to condemn him to many lonely years(I don't think that legolas would leave Imrahil even if Aragorn asked this of him, but it would be much more difficult to him to find peace knowing that Aragorn wouldn't understand nor forgive him for this). And about Imrahil's son I really hope that he can win this battle against his vice, it won't be easy but I like the thought of his victory over it( although it is be a battle that he must fight every day os lis life). Bye.

Good chapter! I'm glad for Helendir, he seemed so lonely to me, I hope he can enjoy himself with her. And they are not cheating on anyone.

Hi, Capella. I'm sorry if my review in any way offended you. I must thank you for making this exception for me. But, I haven't changed my mind. I don't think that a betrayal is a "minor transgression" , for me it is a great one. About Imrahil's invisible wife, maybe it was exactly this, nobody never heard about her, nobody saw her, it is almost as she never existed unlike Faramir that is a character that everyone who saw the movies or read the books knows. Maybe if I had felt that Eowyn really loved her husband and really regreted what she did, my opinion would be different but I didn't see true love or true regret in her. And about Faramir's behaviour I really didn't like it. Enjoy your holiday.

I don't make a habit of publicly replying to reviews, but am making an exception here. Nina, you've been a great source of feedback so far. I'm sorry you found the Éowyn/Faramir scene in chapter 9 offensive. certcertainly wasn't intended that way. No doubt our experiences of people and relationships are very differen

I do not see Faramir as being weak and passive, in fact quite the opposite. To me he is a warm and compassionate man, who loves his wife enough to forgive her, and is secure enough not to feel threatened by what was a minor and very temporary transgression. No doubt there was much pain when the original confession was made (at least 18 months before this story) but the couple have worked on their relationship since. It may seem a strange way for Faramir to want to deal with the uned med memories, but if he is sick, so are a good many fine and decent men out there in the real world.

One other woman has written to tell me she felt disgusted by this chapter. Several others have found it moving for the love and forgiveness there. Interestingly, in the dozens of responses I have had to 'Sea Longing', not one reader has complained that noble Imrahil cheated on his (invisible) wife...

I am off on holiday now so am not looking to start a major correspondence on this. Everyone is entitled to their opinion on, and interpretation of, the stories. I stand by my characters though - their actions are after all a product of my mind, which may well be sick; why else would I be so obsessed with slash in the first place?

Rest assured that the next chapters focus on other acteacters, so you can read on with confidence.

    Capella

Sorry, that's me again. I forgot to say something: If she loved her husband(what a joke!) and she actually regreted (another joke?) what she did, just to look at Roalind would be enough to make Eowyn want to vomit. Bye.

How could Eowyn be so bad, so dirty so disloyal? Sadness is not an excuse for her because everybody suffers, pain is part of lifeny pny people(married people) suffer but unlike Eowyn they choose to love, respect and be faithful to their husbands/wives. To feel pain is not a choice but to betray is. And instead of goes down on her knees and thanks Valar for a forgiviness that she doesn't deserve she is warmed by her memories with her ex-lover, it really made me sick. Can't she stop humilia him him? The fact that she is "warmed" by the memories of her dirty actions can be anything but flattering for her husband. The fact that she still desires and misses her ex-lover can have two explanations: a) her husband is a very poor lover; b)she is a hopeless whore. I'll go with the second option(b). And about Faramir? Is he a man or a worm? Where are his honor, his pride, his dignity? Please, don't make him the kind of man that gets excited by seeing(hearing) his wifvingving sex with another person, this is sick. I guess you took his kindness for weakness and passiveness. You turn him into a person who bows his head and accepts all kind of humiliation. It seems that Faramir thinks that Eowyn did nothing wrong, did he like to be betrayed? Poor Faramir! He deserved a much better person. I could send Eowyn to Mordor right now. Forgive me if I don't review next chapter because if it happens what I think it will happen, it will be wiser to make no comments. I'll keep reading this fiction, I sill can't wait to see Legolas/ Imrahil and Aragorn. Bye

Oh, yes! Love the angst and how Legolas can actually confess love for Imrahil. And, especially, how you updated quickly after leaving chapter 5 asoo uoo uncertain for them. Still want to see Aragorn jealous and having to suck it up (with Imrahil showing how much he does love Legolas); after all, Arwen is fine, but who was really there when Aragorn needed help and made, perhaps, the greater sacrifice? Oh well, just want to say that I love reading this and hope for more soon (trite, but true).
