Rumil and whatshername are as dense as scorched pudding. They both need to be tossed into the river...or taken for a trip to the woodshed.
Haldir is so very kind, strong, gentle...oh so solicitous. Sigh all lovers should be like that.
    still wonderful
    breathtaking
    romantic
    Julie and Fianna...you are tops.

Thank you for the update, it was wonderful! Although I do wish they were more frequent...

I especially love it when Haldir loses his cool! I expect there will be many more scenes like that!

I adore this story ladies. You do such wonderful work on Haldir. He is the perfect balance of arrogance, power and seduction. And Haldir 'at play' imostmost more than I can bear.

I think I will die of anticipation if we don't get 'back to the talan' soon....(hint hint)

Really looking forward to the next installment.

    Yay!!

I haven't much to say, except that I absolutely adore this story. Every character has depth, none are brought in randomly and then left by the wayside. Everyone has a story, and you are telling it.

And, I must beg you to update as soon as possible this story is too good to have to wait so long!

Finally! Both for Elanor and you. If something happens to stop them going to bed tonight, I may have to hurt you. They're suffered long enough!

Now that was a satisfying chapter! Once again, beautiful reactions from all the characters- especially Haldir, who managed to squirm both silently and motionlessly in front of Galadriel. s fus fun to see how Haldir is able to provide guidance to Elanor and to seem so confident and capable, and then to see him change into the role of the student in his relationship with Galadriel. He's very fluid and flexible that way, which I think is a tribute to the effectiveness of his character development. I've enjoyed seeing more of Haldir's thoughts as the story moves on. And now Elanor is taking the initiative in things!

I was positively delighted to see Healea step into the story in a fuller way, as well- and I think I remarked on her fitness as an archery instructor for Elanor. She'll make a good mentor, as well. They are well suited for friendship of a rare sort, by which I mean the sort of friendship that is formed less by frequent companionship and laughter than by a more subtle understanding of one another. I was very pleased by Elanor's calm response to verbal attack; it's fitting in someone who just managed to keep her chin up after disappointing herself in public, and it offers a tantalizing view of Elanor coming into her own. She's a very real and well-rounded character, and if I could find my way to Lothlorien, you can be sure I'd look her up for a chat. And how's this for a tribute to your character-building skills: I like Elanor so much that, if I did land in Lothlorien, I'd have to find a way to keep my admiration for Haldir strictly platonic, because he's attached to a friend of mine, and that sort of thing just isn't done.

:-) Keep up the good work! I'm enjoying the perfect pacing of this story, and I shall be most interested to see a) what Galadriel has to say to Elanor- although it might be funnier coming from Celeborn, given what Haldir thinks of Celeborn's tactics- and b) what Elrond will have to say. Staying tuned, as always!

This is the best fanfic I've ever read!!!!!!!!!!!!! Brilliant, brilliant story, Julie!!! I was so sad when they kicked it off fanfiction.net; I thought I wouldn't be able to find it ever again. But then I searched it on Google and found it here!!!!!!! Anyways, awesome fic, wish I could write like that.
