A karate instructor. I am impressed. You see the need for a little sprite like L to know how to defend himself. Good for you.

Very frank talk on Galadriel's side. Now we know how elves conceive and give birth in your AU. I'm amazed L didn't throw up or scream at the four days of labor. I only had 19 hours and believe me that was more than enough. At least he doesn't have to have a C-section.

You know when people get married really young sometimes they feel they have missed out on a lot of fun things. Maybe L is just beginning to realize this. If so H has a rough road ahead with his over-protective attitude.

Thanks for the new chapter and look forward to more. giggle

I'm still avidly reading, but every time I review a good story favorably the author seems to stop writing. Do prove this incorrect, please. If you stop too, I'll know that it must just be me, and revert to simply, silently, reading and enjoying these stories. I do think that it would be cute if you had Legolas breast-feed his baby. Are Haldir and his brother ever going to straiten things out between them? Please don't stop writing this , it's a good story.

Well Tolkien said she elves are pregnant for 12 months. They know exactlen ten they get pregnant and give birth exactly 1 year to the day of conception. Maybe with Maternal male elves though you could have it be one big surprise. They don't celebrate birthdays but conception days. So the elfling is 1 year old on the day it is born. Also mostly they are born in the spring.

The father is supposed to help give energy and support to the mother during the pregnancy and delivery. If the father is missing or dead the child is considered not to be completely whole and disadvantaged. The mother may not even be able to have the baby and they all end up dead and in the Hall of Waiting.

I don't know how you want to do this. If you want a Maternal male elf be pregnant longer so he can grow a uterus or if he will already have one. Some mpregs the male has to have a C-section. You couldn't call it that because it is named after Ceasar who wasn't around yet. There are several ways to go on delivery.

I would like to see Haldir get sympathy pains, nausea, dizziness, food cravings the whole nine yards because this is such a novel situation and I am very wicked. Also I would like L to breast feed just because I did and I would love to see a male go through all that females have to go through just out of sheer meanness. I think also it would really be sweet how H would react to seeing his "wife" feed the baby.

I hope you will continue this until the baby is born. Go write your other fic and then come back and pick up this one and go a little further with it. It must get hard just doing one thing and you may want to switch between stories for awhile. I don't want you to quit this one altogether because I love this spritely Legolas and the grumpy ex-bachelor Haldir and his ditzy brothers. They are just the sweetest.

We also have to see what parenthood does to both Arwen and Aragorn. And how grandparenthood hits Adar, Thranduil Oropherion. I can just see hime buying out the toy stores in Dale and Laketown for the little bundle. He could also get to be a real pain in the neck.

Loved this chapter to bits even though it really didn't say too much. I thought the idea of H teaching L to defend himself was so sweet. You sound like you know what your talking about in that particular scene.
    Thanks for the update giggle

I thought that I should send a quick few lines your way concerning your questions at the end of chapter twenty-five:

Author Question: I have some tough descisions to make about the whole pregnancy thing: should he breast feed (I would still have hlat lat chested of course)?

Reviewer Answer: No, especially not if he will be flat chested- I don't even know if that would be technically possible considering the schematics. Plus, it just seems too idealistic. Of course there are going to be at least some minor problems since Legolas IS a male.

Author Question: How long will he be pregnant?

Reviewer Answer: Well, the gestation period of a female elf is about 12 months. And considering that Legolas is a male, I advise adding on a month or two for development of the child andy. dy.

Author Question: Where’s Haldir during this?

Up until this point in time, you've been displaying Haldir as an eager father. So this considered, I say that he should be right by his side. I think it would be too cliche if you had him run off on some errand or something to that extent. You seem inventive, so I believe you could successfully come up with a plotline which would accomodate Haldir remaining with him.
