Just re-read this again... the quality of your story still floors me :-)

I've always been curious, though, about the hobbits. I know what you've done with them (they seem, for the most part contented), but I was wondering what stories you might have that would involve them. Most fanfiction related to Tolkien centers on the elves these days. I'm wondering, what does Frodo do besides write and what stories would be centered around him? He seems to have the Baggins traits intact - the wanderlust, the desire to chronicle in detail the things he observes.

If the muse hasn't struck I understand, but I've always been curious as to what you might do with the hobbits.

Another amazing story. I was weeping at the end. Hope for another tale soon.

Ah... a very satisfying conclusion. You didn't take the cheap and easy way out of making Michael and Doris part of the Chosen, though I'm assuming that they got to see more of the inner workings than most. And via the mechanism of Michael's death, you've shown us the depth of the Chosen's struggles with the Vala. Even if you're working for them, you don't always get to know why they choose to do what they do. A fairly hierarchical view of things, but it's pretty consistent with Tolkien's views and it's consistent with everything else you've written so it works nicely. No magical talking telepathic unicorns to save the day, thankfully.

Faramir's evolution from whiny, thoughtless, unseeing self-absorbed bastard in 'Pottymouth' to the well-rounded and ethically stellar individual at the end of 'Fleeting' has been a real treat. I'm very impressed with the constant work you've put into this character's somewhat bumpy rehab. Tolkien's take on him was, by comparison, somewhat shallow, but I chalk that up to the author comparing and contrasting the differences between Boromir's corruption and Faramir's ability to say no to evil if offered. Most fanficiton does seriously idiotic things to him simply because he's a convenient tabula rasa. I like your Faramir, I really do.

Diamond as a French chocolatier. Priceless.

You really need to do this for a living :-) If you don't already, color me surprised.

I've thoroughly enjoyed reading this universe of yours over the past two years. It's really been a pleasure to see this take on the characters of the Nine and the auxilliary players. Much of the LotR fanfiction of late has degenerated into elfsmut, so when I get a chance to read something with some intellect behind it, I tend to treasure it. I'm assuming that you are going to be taking a long-deserved rest and respite from this fic. If you should ever choose to revisit it again (though the salvation of Faramir being achieved, I'm not sure what would motivate you to retread the same path, save the chance to play in a particular universe again) please let me know. I'd dearly love to pay it a visit.

The wheel turns ... sad but as it is. Loss. Love. Release.

Excellent story: I'll miss it the updates but it's still here to visit with. I hope you are well enough to write more: your work is so engaging.

And what? The future flashes before him, decades have passed and now he's dead? That can't be the end. Please don't tell me that's the end!

Was that the final chapter? It was a good one. If you write more Pottymouth, I will read it happily. Thank you for sharing your talent with us.

Wow! ....I don't really have words. What a great chapter. I love the little cameo in France. Somehow, I never pictured Diamond like that, but it suits her well.

I'm so glad everything worked out, but I'm sorry that the story is concluded. What will I read now? Are you planning any more stories in this universe? Stay well and keep writing!

Quite an adventure...I am so impressed with the way you worked everyone into a very merry tale of intrigue, angst, and just fun.
