Reviews for Coming Home

I just finished this story and oh my, I don't normally care for death fics, at times they're simply too sad, at other times they don't seem to capture the entire process or the emotions that run through going through death from not just the standpoint of the one passing but of those around. I loved this story, I cried, and laughed, and this was a beautiful piece. Thank you for sharing your talent!

geez! i havent cried this hard since i saw marley & me (Not good to watch in theaters without tissues...)
i do believe you just made me snot all over my sheets (since its 4am, im not changing them... lazyyy...)

there were one or two mistakes (main annoyances done by the site, not you... such as smushing words together) but nothing big, or even small... miniscule, i would say (just something my editor mind picks out {it happens in published books too} that i cant control)
I dont say this often (i think i've only said it to one authoress, and ALL of her stories are amazingness on a stick) but i wouldn't change anything about this story. Not even the not-site mistakes. It just makes it... i dunno... more diary-like, relate-able. Like..., i dont think in proper grammar, much less if i was in that situation...

yeah... im not making any sense anymore

This was the first death fic I ever read. I know that the ones I read in the future will have a hard time measuring up to this. It was so real. No needless fluff. Thank you for making Arwen so gracious. The whole story just flowed. It will definitely go into my recomended reading list. You are a great author and I can't wait to read more of your fics!

I don't cry over fictional stories with imaginary characters, but I sure cried over this one. The characters may not have been real, but the emotions that you imbued them with most definitely were. I felt tI waI was reading somethwritwritten by someone who went through what Legolas and Aragorn were going through. I kept wishing for that miracle that you said was not going to happen. I liked the idea that Legolas would live on in their memories, especially in Elendi's with the help of the stories that Arwen told him. Being remembered is the closest that any of us come to immortality anyway.

This death fic haunted me for days. I finally had to come back to review. It is beautifully written and so heart-wrenching. By the end, I was sobbing shamelessly.

I have to admit that I was in tears by about chapter 4... I have never read such a well-written story in all my life. Like you said, death fics are so often taken too lightly, but you have made this into something more. Erm... don't know what to say now, I'm still sniffling... Well done.

    Skye,
I can hardly find the words to express how your story affected me........ I am deeply moved by your compassion and your words. I stumbled across this website of fan fiction quite by accident and believe it or not, started to tire of the mindless sex stories (grin). I wept when I read your story, thank you. I'm going to sleep now and anticipate dreams filled with a sweet sorrow. Am I morbid? Nah, just a vivid imagination. Who knows, maybe tomorrow night will bring different dreams - heh, heh. Thanks again for your wonderful work.

I must admit I like a happy ending, but kept reading Coming Home after your warning. I've read other death fics as well and think yours is one of the best I've read; very powerful and moving.

Oh sad.. Sad realreally beautiful, i like this fic a lot. Arwen is being such a sweetheart only Valar knows what she feels inside of her. And does the baby have any role there? Cos it looks like it adores Legolas..well I hope to read more soon, great fic!!

This is shaping up to be a very beautiful fic. It's not sappy, but it brings a tear to the eye very well. I was all but sick of Legolas fanfics (Too many crappy ones...) until I saw this. I love it. Please continue this; it's excellent.
