Ah, another uplifting ending to a feel-good story (note sarcastic typing tone). Well, I HAD hoped that Legolas or the twins could have stopped her, but I guess this was inevitable (sp?). But I will keep reading your stuff, because EVENTUALLY you've GOT to have a happy ending somewhere in that twisted imagination of yours. (I'm getting tired of having to write "doom" so often. *lol*)

Congrats on finishing your longest story ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) :) :)

You know, it is funny, I thought from a very point on, that there would be no happy end for Valarwen. I started to feel that way around the middle of the story and when she said she wanted to go for a walk after her brief night with Legolas I halfway expected her to end her life then. I am actually glad you decided to let her take that final path because it feels absolutely right. Too much has happened for her, too many changes, too many losses, too many things have changed forever and there is no going back. In a weird sense this is a bit like Frodo realizing there is no turning back for him after the ring is destroyed, in a strange way her story resembles Frodo's as the destruction of the Palantir did not bring her the relief and consolation she needed either. Interesting, isn't it?

Anyway, congrats again, well done and... when will you start posting the next one? *veg*

    Big hug,

    San

I should have seen that coming. Very well done-although I am always sad when I don't get a happy ending.

Man, oh, man! This chappie simply screams doooooooom! It feels as if something big & heavy is just waiting to drop on our heads, we don't know what or when, simply that it WON'T be pleasant. Doom, I tell you, doooooom!

I’m sorry, I’ve gotta say it at least one more time, Doooooom! Valawen isn’t coming back from her walk, is she? She’s gonna opt for the big dirt nap! But she promised Legolas that she’d let the twins take her to the sea! Of course, she never said she’d be alive to see it… Poor, poor V, it does little good to have those around you forgive you if you can’t/won’t forgive yourself.

*hits Legolas over the head with a skillet*

Me: You IDIOT! You do NOT grant a desolate elf female her "last" request so that her mind is clear! RUN AFTER HER, YOU STUPID MORON! BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE!!! AAAAUGHHHH! *bangs head against wall*
    Leg: What?....Oh. Well, $%#@.
    Me: *drily* Yes.

I'm hoping he gets a hold of his sense before it's too late, but I realize that may not be what you have in mind. Given that I'm awfully depressed lately, though, can you email me privately and tell me not to read the end if it's not going to be a happy ending? I know that's asking a lot, but you know I like the story and I'll always read whatever you choose to write next...I just don't think I could bear to read a depressing ending right now, to anything.

Legolas was very IC, by the way--although I half expected him to tell Valawen that the time and place weren't right and walk out the door. Of course, he probably didn't want to cause V any more emotional stress from rejection. *snicker* Fine by me!

    *sings*
    "Ding Dong, Palantir's gone..."
*looks around in embarassment at glaring authors and fellow readers*
Sorry, dears, got carried away there for a moment...

Still reading, Frosty, sorry, but the flu bug really kept me from reviewing properly. Boy, am I glad Legolas talked some sense into that silly girl's head, but she still has a long way to go. *glares at Valarwen* Now pull yourself together, you whinging cow!

And can I just say I am so NOT sorry over Faramir's demise? HA! Serves you right, man, you were enjoying your vicious side far too much!

Can I also say, that I am mighty pleased Valarwen DID in fact wack him over the head even though she did not use a frying pan? :D Now all we need is... ah, never mind, you now the last item on my to do list, lol!

Keep up the great work, congrats on your longest story ever and update soon!

Only Valawen can fix things, eh? How? I know that confession is good for the soul, will that be sufficient for her? When she meets with the twins, and admits to her part in everything, will it begin her healing? And what about the world of Men, what (if anything) does Galadriel expect her to do about the changes taking place (or about to) in Gondor and Rohan? (Am I going to have to let Eomer out of our cozy little cave?)

“He [Legolas] has lost much, and aims to save you.” Hmm, this kinda, sorta, in a roundabout way sounds almost like how Faramir and Eowyn got started. Could this be the beginnings of love for our favorite Mirkwood princeling?

Yes. Yes, I do know why you’re staring. *grins evilly* But don’t be angry at Boromir, he really can’t help it, I am, after all, a Mary Sue in disguise. muahahaha

Sorry, you two, for being hopelessly behind with my reviews, but I am kicking a flu bug's ass, so to speak! ;) Still reading though and hope I will find my brain again really soon, so I can manage a proper and well-deserved update again asap. Until then... I am still reading and loving every line of your stories, ladies! :)

You torture me. Turly, you do. It's so good, but never enough...just like the palantir...*begins to hum softly*

    V: STOP THAT!
Me: It's mine. Come near it, and I'll throw you to the angry trees in Fangorn Forest.
    Leg: Fangorn? What?
Me: *pets him* Nothing. Go back to the bed.
    Leg: Oh. All right.

    :)

My mouth waters with an-ti-ci-paay-tion. *veg*

I read the chaptert night, but I was so sleepy I had to re-read it again this morning. I really enjoyed it, though. If I were Galdriel, I'd be hard pressed not to make V earn her place among elves again! V does have a point, though-where the hell is she going to go? She cannot return to Imladris, and she certainly cannot reurn to the world of Men, who distrust her. I highly doubt she'd feel comfortable staying in Lorien.

    V: This sucks. Royally.
Me: Yeah, well, maybe you should have thought of that before you decided to barge in on Aragorn in his private quarters when he looked half asleep.
A: Don't drag ME into this. I'm dead.
Me: Serves you right, too. Bastard.
    V: O.o

I like Legolas more than I normally do in this story. He seems more in character than usual. Not that I don't ALWAYS adore him, but he seems especially real in this tale.

24 Chappies! Wow, Frosty, that’s gotta be some kinda record for you. Way to go, girlie! Okay, back to the important stuff, the review…

Can it be true? Will the elves be as forgiving as Legolas would have us believe? After all, Valawen murdered Celeborn and Galadriel’s son-in-law, and was in cahoots with the man who murdered their granddaughter. I know the elves are portrayed to be better than Men physically (i.e. stronger, heightened senses, etc.), does that extend to their emotions? Hmm, just wondering… And speaking of wondering, is Legolas being nice to V just ‘cuz he’s wonderful and realizes she needs a friend, or does he want more? Does he want to be a (as Alannys Morriset (sp?) might say) friend with 'benefits'? *wink, wink, nudge, nudge*

BTW Frosty, when Boromir’s with you, he’s thinking of ME! :-p
