Hi Lianna - I'm glad you are still enjoying the elves! Legolas has grown up quite a bit over the course of the arc, hasn't he? They have all changed, though, I hope for the better. Don't worry - 'Las still has a lot of the passive little wood-elf in him somewhere! **grin**

    **hugs**
    Minuial ;)

Legolas has grown up some. *sigh* I kind of miss the passive and reckless younger version.

"If you set out with impatience, led by anger rather than wisdom, he will light your pyre ere the moon turns. Would you have him suffer such grief with a spirit still shadowed?”

Oh, yes, Glorfindel, you are so right.

It's great to see somebody talk some sense into the twins for a change.

Now, if we could see Legolas and Elrohir settle their issues... Preferably in a manner that involves as much action as words...

*sniffles* Intense and heartbreaking. Still, I crave more.

Oh. Now I'm crying again! Beautiful beautiful! My only complaint is that it's too short. *sigh* Poor Elrohir. Poor Elrond! poor poor Celebrian! You're breaking my heart here, you know!

    Oh. Now I'm crying again!
''bringing with it an echo of cocoa and rabbits and love unquestioned."" I loved this line. Beautiful. So simple, and yet so succinct- everything that Elrohir's Nana means to the memories of his heart.
Now, I suppose we shall have to be patient mice. *sigh* That is well, though. I love this to much to want to rush it!

YAY! Another fabulously angsty chapter. I do so love our angsty Elves! The confrontation between Elladan and Elrohir was excellent- It was like being in the room with them. And Elladan locking himself in the bath, ashamed of his wounds and weakness - or was he afraid Legolas would beat Elrohir to a bloody pulp?

Oh. You've made me cry! How so very sweet, father and son finding comfort together. Elladan is a greater healer than he knows. Lessee..what wasn't to like about this chapter?... OH! It was too short! But all the more poignant for that, I think. Legolas, finally having greater evidence than his own heart that the twins live ( LOVE the description there, by the way!) was my second favorite moment in this one.
Okay, I'm gonna go curl up with Erestor and get some sleep... he needs comfort since Glorfindel is away...

    Min!
WOWS! I mean... very very well done indeed! I love how you interpret 'Dan & 'Roh's feelings, how deeply you let us feel their rage and hurt before bringing it out in the open. And the scene between Gildor and Elladan just about had me in tears. But please! Please please please Valar do not ever let Glorfindel have reason to challenge ME! EEK! When he ordered Elrohir to dismount it sent shivers down my spine. And he may regret his handling of it, but I think that for Elrohir it was perhaps the best way.
Thanks for the links to the rest, but I can be a patient mouse! *does happy dance*

I have always enjoyed your story. However, these 2 chapters are by far your best. I feel that you captured emotions really well, especially in Elladan and Elrohir (and I loved your warning that things will get better and they will ilve happily ever after - it's a comfort). Keep it up. these 2 chapters have left me wanting more. don't wait too long.

Min! Oh, please do let Legolas get there soon! Although I fear that the twins will not be easily healed, or even soothed. I nearly wept when Elladan realized that their fea's had not fused during their binding. I know, you warned me this would be a dark and dangerous tale, and I'm ready, really I am. :) And I'm glad we'll get the first few chapters fairly quickly, but I'm always willing to wait as long as it takes for such fabulous storytelling.

    *gasp*
    I'm stunned. Speechless.
I was just so happy to see you posting again, that I was just going to scan really quickly and then post a quick review with "happy dance! Min is BACK!" but I couldn't. The first sentence leapt out at me and I rode it all the way to the bottom of the page with my heart pounding in my throat. I'm still gasping. BEAUTIFULLY DONE! We all wonder what those first days after Celebrian's attack must have been like, and I think you've captured them beautifully. The Twins, fey in their rage and grief. Elrond, collapsing beneath his own helplessness. Thank the Valar for Erestor and Glorfindel, doing what they can in their own way.
WELL DONE! And I hope you'll forgive me if I no longer feel like doing the happy dance now. I think I'll go join the Twins and slay some orcs instead.
