Hmm... definitely sweet and fluffy. Like a really comfortable feather pillow.
However, the ending feels a bit lame to me. Erestor thinks the turn of events was unexpected, but as a reader I cant really say the same. After all, Glorfindel did flirt with him in the corridor. After that, I dont think a kiss or two is all that chocking.
Still, I really like the way you write. The whole atmosphere of the place came through beautifully. The descriptions of the setting flowed naturally, and without interupting the plot. I especially like the sentence "The silence was wonderful after the loud evening in the Hall and he walked towards one of his favourite trees in the gardens: a big old oak which been standing there the last few centuries."
The comment of the tree, that have been standing there for so long, gives a hint at the way elves look at the world around them. Erestor refers to it as I might do to a beautiful old vase that has been standing in the living room the last couple of weeks.
