What an excellent and original story!! I will need to re-read this chapter again to understand the finer points, especially when Haldir and Syshae accidently first touched. The question concerning Syshae's father appeared to have been left open for now. Terrific start to your story.

BTW, thank you for writing such a long and well-written first chapter. I look forward eagerly for your next update.
