Oh jeez Gamling is not going to be very happy!

Hi Zee...
about a hundred years ago on an early HBO special...an older french burlesque queen made a remark about just because there was snow on the roof, didn't mean that there wasn't a fire in the furnace...
These two are so in love with life and are old enough to appreciate the here and now...
This is a good chapter.

You said it sister! Older men are HOT! Viggo and Sean B have got about 15 years on me, and Bernard about 30, but they are gorgeous sexy men. I'd much rather be with one of them than with a wet-behind-the-ears youngster.

Great update! The goodbyes were so sad--my favorite was Theoden's to Gamling. It almost seems like Theoden had a premonition or something about his fate. I guess he's seen so many battles, and this one does look especially hopeless from where they are right now. And I'm so glad Aefre is going with Eowyn! I hope she brought her morningstar too, she can kill lots of orcs with it. Please update again soon!

Just a thanks for this great story! I always have the actor Bruce Hopkins in my head while reading this and having met the man twice I can say he'd love it. That man knows how to have a good time.
I especially like the "in the head" dialogue. Very effective. Just like what really does go on in your mind. Also very effective for steaming up the action!!

This is just so cool! Well written, well drawn out, very nice indeed! I can't wait for more, and this one of Tolkien's rather neglected characters! And I loved what you did with Theoden and his lady... more soon please!

Very good chapter, liked the refugee camp setting, was wondering how they were getting along. Glad to see that Gamling has promised to get them off the hill and into better shelter before the war starts, and that the little blacksmith boy has found a home. I like how Gamling and Aefre have decided to interfere in Eomer's love life after the war (if you are hinting that you are going to write Eomer/Lothiriel with Gamling and Aefre in it, I say go for it, it sounds great.) As for Gamling and Aefre being old, I can't agree. I think both are in their *prime,* as Miss Jean Brodie would say! More story soon please!
