Chapter 11: Accept me
Legolas stood by the Fellowship, what was left of it anyway. There was some relief in realizing the Hobbits lived, but Legolas didn't feel that emotion as strongly as he thought he would.
Gimlí and Aragorn hung around him so often that the Elf half-wondered whether they thought he might do something foolish or wallow in self pity if they didn't.
Frustrating. No, he wasn't himself, Legolas was aware, the weight of battle and the loss of Haldir had destroyed the innocence that was inherit to all Elves, but he sure didn't need babysitters, "I do not need you to look after me every waking moment, nor every moment at rest."
Aragorn held up his hands in surrender, "We meant no harm, we're simply worried... You haven't been the same since... Understandably so, but these are no times to be distracted"
Another rush of anger shot through the Elf, "Avan quellye, Estel!"
Again the ranger held up his hands to suggest he didn't mean to suggest the Elf would fail them, "Saes, Legolas, á tulë asenyë"
It was a silent request, asking Legolas to come with him. One that annoyed the dwarf who could barely follow the conversation, but one Aragorn felt the Elf wouldn't deny him.
Though Legolas nodded and moved to follow, Aragorn could tell it wasn't gladly so.
As the both of them entered the tent, the ranger turned to the Elf, "I hate to see you like this Legolas, to see your light so dimmed. Would nothing restore it to you?"
Legolas avoided eye contact, avoided him entirely in fact as he ignored the question, "I don't want you to think I can't do this without you two watching me every minute of the day"
Aragorn frowned at the Elf, shaking his head, "Legolas, it's been months now... Months. You're but a shell of who you were. I would never doubt your skill in battle.. I merely worry about your own well-being throughout it all"
The blond-haired Elf turned away from him, crossing his arms in stubborn defiance to suggest those words held no truth to them, but Legolas couldn't help the tear that trickled down his cheek that argued the very fact that the Ranger was right. And he was, "I feel like I've lost... me."
The words came out but a whisper, but they weren't lost on the future King of Gondor.
He approached the Mirkwood prince and wrapped gentle arms around him, "You are Legolas, son of Thranduil. Prince and future King of Mirkwood, the best archer in existence and the best friend anyone could wish for. You are the most beautiful of elves and the most brave of heart despite the mistaken youth others see in you"
It wasn't until Legolas felt the man's beard press against his neck, followed by the man's lips that he whispered a soft, "Man cárat?"
Aragorn didn't draw back at Legolas' inquiry of what he was doing, "Just let me love you, Legolas. Let me make you feel that love in hopes of restoring that light"
No answer followed, but Aragorn decided to accept the fact that 'no answer' was an answer itself in this particular situation. Brushing the blond's hair to one side he lightly nips along the Elf's neck, drawing soft gasps from the latter. Gasps which turned into quiet moans as Aragorn redirected his attentions to the Elf's sensitive ears, "I can't do this... not to.."
A hint of guilt was audible in Legolas' voice, but Aragorn was quick to silence it, "Live your life, Legolas. Accept this... accept me, my love"
It seemed too fast, too much, but as Aragorn caressed his ears Legolas just couldn't help but think it seemed just right.
The Mirkwood prince turned in the embrace, "He might not understand"
Aragorn briefly glanced up before he looked back at the Elf, "What does your hear tell you? I know that he is ever in your heart, that what love I offer will never fully be returned and will always be compared to his...He knows that, just as I do... I accept that, so must he... For we both love you... Can you accept that, too?"
Legolas hated it; the way Aragorn had a way of saying the things he needed to hear, but more than that he hated the way he could only agree with them.
A light nod followed, "I can't do anything but accept it, can I, when you put it that way?"
The smirk that greeted him almost offended, were it not that Legolas knew the source and cause of it.
He wasn't quite as prepared for the kiss that followed, one that left him wanting more from the sheer sweetness of it, "Estel..."
"Ssh.." was all that came in return as the Ranger stripped him off his clothes. Legolas hadn't quite fully accepted the terms of the agreement just yet, but he knew he needed it, Aragorn was right. He needed the love, he needed the affection to be able to somehow somewhat carry on with life.
Aragorn took his sweet time lavishing kisses along the Elf's pale skin until the latter was a mewling mess beneath him, "Le annon veleth nín" I give you my love, "Lle naa vanima, aratoamin" You are beautiful, my champion.
The words echoed in Legolas' mind, the words spoken with such unbridled affection that Legolas could only take them to heart.
It took what seemed like hours of these words and light touches 'ere Legolas began returning them in full, now stealing kisses and touches of his own while voicing his appreciation for Aragorn.
It was an unusual pairing, the two of them, but as Legolas gave it thought it was the only one he could truly be at peace with and could see Haldir be at peace with equally.
Aragorn and Legolas had always been close friends, the closest friends in fact. Stolen glances and secret thoughts had plagued them both, unspoken for fear of ruining their friendship. It was only just that Legolas should find such love and comfort in the arms of a friend, someone who fully understood him and loved him as unconditionally as a lover would.
With newfound courage and certainty Legolas turned them over, trapping the Man beneath him while his hands brushed through the hair on Aragorn's chest. It always fascinated him, that hair, hair that he and all other Elves lacked.
Legolas leaned down, pressing kisses along that chest, down the length of his body until he felt Aragorn's breath cease in anticipation.
A light playful hint of a smile crept unto Legolas' features as his tongue darted out and brushed along the length of his shaft to which the ranger gasped and groaned in return.
Urged on by the Man's sounds of pleasure, Legolas' endeavours grew more confident and bold until he engulfed the full of it with a content sigh.
Aragorn's hands slid into the blond hair, curling in and clutching the silky strands as he fought hard not to arch into the prince's all too willing mouth, "Legolas... Poikaer... I would have you"
Pure one... The words gave him pause. Legolas was far from pure now, he had lost that pureness, that innocence... Aragorn knew that, but the Man didn't allow the uncertainty to take over, "You'll always be pure to me, nothing can change that."
With that, Aragorn pulled him up and kissed his lips, demandingly yet lovingly and Legolas could do little more than kiss him in turn.
The ranger found the bottle of oil, taking his time by simply rubbing the oil into the Elf's skin at first, teasing and taunting as he avoided all the places Legolas wanted him to touch, "Estel" Legolas drew the word out and into a whine, urging the Man on, but Aragorn simply smiled, pressing a light kiss to the Elf's stomach, "Soon."
But soon wasn't soon enough. Every second seemed an eternity to Legolas, an eternity too long.
Finally the Man took pity on him and stretched Legolas to prevent any discomfort until Legolas muttered a light curse for Aragorn to just hurry up already.
Aragorn then moved up on top of Legolas, enthralled by his beauty as he pushed in tantalizingly slow just so he could watch the Elf's reactions.
Legolas however had other plans, wrapping his legs around the ranger and urging him on deeper, faster, "I won't break Aragorn. Saes."
Whether he liked admitting it or not, he enjoyed the man's roughness that first time, perhaps not the full extent of it, but a combination of pain and pleasure drove him mad with desire, "Take me Estel, show me the light"
At the demand Aragorn grinned, kissing Legolas hard; a request like that... how could he ever resist it?
