A/N: I lost my muse! But she's back now! Hope this chapter jives. :) Hope my readers didn't abandon me!
~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Glorfindel smiled as he noticed he had two shadows. He had been tutoring the elflings for three weeks now. Rumil and Legolas had been following him around all that time. He knew that they had a strong case of hero worship and he was flattered. Turning he approached the elflings, who were now hiding behind a plant.
"Would you two care to help me?" He asked them.
They nodded, smiled and scampered eagerly after him as he led them to the classroom. Glorfindel handed them a sheaf of paper and instructed them to line the desks with it. They carefully laid the papers on the desk miking sure they were nicely covered. Smiling Glorfindel placed the empty ink wells on the lined desks and started to fill them up.
"Can we do anything else to help Lord Glorfindel?" Legolas asked shyly.
"You can put the tops on as I fill them up." Glorfindel said kindly.
Legolas pulled up a chair and began to stopper the filled ink wells. Rumil stood behind Legolas and sucked his thumb while looking at Glorfindel.
"Something wrong young one?" Glorfindel asked Rumil while he filled the last ink well.
"My brothers say your the same Glorfindel that fought the Balrog...are you?" Rumil asked shyly.
Glorfindel smiled and nodded. "I am."
Rumil gasped and blushed. "Oh,..." was all he could get out.
Soon the twins and his brothers came running inside and they stopped when they saw Rumil and Legolas helping Glorfindel. Frowning they sat and removed the paper from the desks. Glorfindel picked up the filled ink wells and left the room to put them away.
Elrohir turned and looked at Rumil. "You still suck your thumb? Gee you are a baby!"
Rumil hung is head and tried not to cry.
This time however Haldir and Orophin didn't defend them because they were envious of him. He got to help Glorfindel, the legendary Balrog slayer! Rumil looked hurt and turned away from them.
"Whatld tld the Balrog slayer want with a baby and a idiot princeling?" Elladan sneered angrily for he to was jealous.
"Am not an idiot! And stop calling Rumil a baby!" Legolas spat back hotly.
Suddenly the sound of someone clearing their throat intrupted their fight. Turning they saw Glorfindel standing there looking angry. Rumil ran to him sobbing. Glorfindel knelt and and took the elfling into his arms. He made soothing noises and looked at the others.
"Sit." he ordered in a steely voice.
They sat immediatly and waited with their heads down. No one spoke or moved as Rumil sat down rubbing the tears out of his eyes.
"I only heard half of went on in here. I just want to say I am ashamed you would speak to Legolas or Rumil thusly. If I hear any other insults in here by anyone that person will be severly punished. I have also learned that Celeborn, Celebrian and Galadriel left to Imladis. I am in charge of you all till they return. I will not have any name calling. Is that clear?" Glorfindel said sternly.
"Yes Lord Glorfindel." they intoned at the same time.
"Good now open the History of the Silmarils. And take out your books on the Kinslayngs. We will discuss both of these today." Glorfindel nodded as they complied. He winked at Legolas and Rumil to let them know he wasn't angry at them.
The rest of the day passed without incident.
TBC.
