The Fire Dance
Ch160
A few moments later, several elves gathered at the tree line and
Erestor tilted his head "Who are they?"
The warrior before him glanced down "They are healers, they are
waiting for the fight to cease, then they will go and assist those who
are injured. Now, you mentioned that you know Taurath?"
Erestor nodded "Aye, he resides with myself, my mate and our ion...he
is courting our ion"
The warrior looked to his fellows, then back to Erestor "Did the Valar
Aglar become displeased with him? He was suppose to belong..."
The dark adviser narrowed his eyes "Aglar was already bound, and even
if he was not, he would Never had taken advantage of Taurath thusly.
Taurath is a free elf, he always was. He is doing very well in
Imladris, he has joined the warriors there and has many friends"
One of the other warriors stepped forward "And now he is courting your
ion?"
Erestor nodded "Aye, our firstborn, Torfindel. When he reaches his
majority, they will more then likely bond"
The warriors all exchanged a glance, then the leader sighed "We miss
Taurath, he was a friend. Not all here agreed with our elder when he
gave him to the young Valar...many were upset, especially Taurath's
brother...he left the community due to this. He now lives in that
small group of trees over there...if you look closely, you can see him
watching the fight, he is poised to join and help if needed"
Erestor narrowed his eyes as he looked, but could still not see anyone
"He eludes my sight, tho this does not surprise me. Taurath also does
so when he wishes to be alone. Like when I entered here, I did not see
any of you. Where is your home?"
The warrior pointed "That is where we live, there are also warriors
poised to help there, they are waiting for us to call them out if need be"
Erestor sighed as he repositioned Glorion in his arms "Well, you will
not have to. My mate would have done well alone with this small group
of wargs...and with the two he is fighting with...your extra warriors
will not be needed"
The warriors with Erestor watched the fight for a moment, then nodded
to one another "I must admit, your mate is a formidable warrior, as
the other two are"
One of the warriors noticed Erestor look to his little elfling, then
smiled "Would your share your names with us? Our fellows are fighting
by your loves side, I think that makes us friends"
Erestor debated on whether or not to lie, then took a deep breath and
nodded "I am Chief Adviser Erestor, my mate is Lord Glorfindel of the
House of the Golden Flower...and Captain of the forces of Imladris,
and this is our second born Glorion. The large warriors with my mate
are...well, the one in brown and green is...Lord Orome, and the one in
gold and blue is...is Lord Tulkas"
The four warriors stilled as they collectively dropped their jaws,
then the lead warrior choked "Lord...Or...Orome? And Lord Tulkas?!"
Erestor nearly lost his footing as he spun on the branch when he heard
from behind him "HA! And they are fighting right along side them! They
are going to soil their cloths when they find out!"
The dark adviser tilted his head as the new warrior continued to
chuckle "Oh I apologize, I did not mean to frighten you outlander"
"My...my name is Erestor...and you are?"
Still watching the two Valar in shock, the lead warrior absently waved
"Oh, he is Taurath's elder brother"
~*~*~
Out in the clearing, Tulkas pulled his sword out of the last warg to
fall, then laughed loudly "Ah! You fight well Glorfindel!"
The seneschal lost his breath as Tulkas smacked him on the back
"Han...huhhh...hannon le my lord"
The Avarin warriors began to group together to asses their fellows,
shocked that none of them had perished, and only one of them had been
truly hurt with a broken leg, as where others only had minor cuts or
scratches
Orome looked at all the warriors as they gathered together, and
without a thought, walked over and began to one by one, heal them
All talking stopped as they watched the large outlander smile "Is
there anyone else who needs aid?"
One of the younger warriors blinked in shock "Wh...who are you outlander"
Orome crossed his arms "Oh I do not wish to say, you will just flee
and I wish to be friends with you"
The young warrior stood, then jumped a few times "My leg was broken,
and now by the passing of your hand over it, it is healed. I would
like to know the kind heart that did this for me"
"Do you all promise not to run from me?"
The small group of warriors stood tall and nodded with a collective "Aye!"
"I am Orome, and this is my brother by law, Tulkas"
His name having been said, Tulkas walked over "Ooo...they are not
fleeing, what did you do Orome, bind their feet to the soil?"
Before the Huntsman could answer, Glorfindel walked over to the group
"My mate fled to the trees, which did he flee to, those? Or those over
there"
One of the warriors cleared his throat, then pointed "The dark
uh...the dark outlander ran to that grouping over there. Tis our
outpost...he and the wee elfling are safe"
Glorfindel nodded his thanks, then ran off
Orome took a deep breath, then smiled "I am pleased that you all did
not flee from me, I wanted to thank you for assisting us...you did not
have to, yet you did"
The leader of the group took a tentative step forward and lowered his
head "Your welcome my lord. Would you uh...would you care to come back
to our outpost with us and...and uh..."
"Join you for evening meal? Aye! We would!"
Tulkas rolled his eyes "Careful now Orome, remember what happened to
Aglar...their eldar is "gift" happy"
Both of the Valar quickly turned when they heard a low growl and the
warrior cleared his throat "That uh...that was not aimed at you two.
Forgive me my lords"
Tulkas arched his brow "Our words cut you penneth, why?"
The warrior looked at his fellows and received many nods "Well, we are
not happy about what happened to our friend. Taurath was an excellent
warrior and...and we often wonder how he is...and if the young Valar
Aglar treats him kindly"
Orome and Tulkas exchanged a look, then the Huntsman motioned to the
trees "Tul my new friends, show us your outpost, let us sit and know
one another better. The two elves we travel with will be able to
answer All your questions about Taurath"
Glorfindel growled when he entered the tree line and did not see
Erestor "Rabbit!"
"We are up here Findel!"
The golden warrior released a relieved sigh as Erestor was slowly
lowered to the ground, then grabbed him "Oh my dear one...my shy
rabbit you are safe"
Erestor lightly purred against his chest, then smiled as the warriors
that helped him dropped down from the tree "These are the guards that
watched over us as you fought...and This is Taurath's elder brother
Taurcalad"
Glorfindel smiled as he took Glorion from Erestor and held him close
"Taurcalad? Taurath is Forest Shadow and you are Forest Light?"
The warrior smiled as he shook his head "I think our parents were
rather...uh...well, they named me first of course, to them it just
seemed logical to name my brother the opposite of me"
Erestor suddenly frowned "Taurath had mentioned that he had no family tho"
The warrior lowered his head and sighed "I am not surprised. He
probably said that so he would not have to think about how I was no
longer in his life...Taurath was rather frightened and...and knew we
would never see each other again. I miss him"
The small group turned as Orome, Tulkas and the warriors entered the
tree line. After a few moments of awkward silence, the Captain of the
Avarin warriors waved for everyone to follow "Tul, let us sit and know
one another. The quicker we do this, the better. Let talk and become
friends"
Glorfindel looked to Taurath's brother "Why the hurry?"
Taurcalad snorted as he began to walk "Our eldar will arrive soon and
probably wet himself when he realizes that there are Two Valar sitting
amongst us...he was quite nervous around Aglar...and He was just the
ion of one. Tul my new friend, saes, tell me of my brother"
