Into Love's Arms

The next morning Celeborn left his chambers before anyone else was awake. He made his way quietly down to the healer's wing to see his beloved. He hadn't slept at all last night, all he'd done was laid in bed and thought about Heidi. He hoped she could find it in her heart to forgive him. Heidi and Denise were asleep when he walked into the room. He pulled up a chair and sat next to her bed. He sat there and watched her sleep as the sun rose highin the sky. After a few hours he got up and went to the window. Looking out he had an excellent view of the gardens. He stood and thought of what he would say to her when she awoke.

Heid awoke slowly as the dream world recceded and the real world came hurtling back. Sighing she turned to look out the window and was shocked to see Celeborn standing there. He seemed lost to thought and there was an air of sadness about him. A desperate longing swpet over her. Oh how she wanted him to take her into his arms and kiss away her hurst. She was tired of being angry and was tired of fighting with Denise about this.

"Celeborn?" she whispered.

He turned and saw her confused sxpression. "I am here." he said as he walked over to her bedside.

"Why?"

"Why am I here? Or why did I do the things I did?" he asked as he took her hands into his.

"Both." Heidi wanted to believe he had come here to make things right.

"I am here because I love you. I know I haven't been acting like it lately but I do. When Legolas told me what happened to you I was angry. Not at you or her but at them. How dare anyone hurt someting so pure and good? I don't understand your world. And to see you here now attacked again saddens me. You and her must be very strong for I don't think abyone else could survive what you both did. This time your attack was my fault! If I had paid better attnention you both wouldn't have been hurt!" he confesed.

"This wasn't your fault. You fought bravely that day. Don't ever think this is your fault!" Heidi kissed his hand.

"Can you forgive me for what I have done?" he smiled when she kissed his hand.

"For staying away? Yes. For keeping Legolas away? Yes. But this was not your fault! Now all you have to do is apologize to Denise." Heidi smirked at the fear in his eyes.

"No you don't!" came Denise's voice. "I heard it all and I understand." they could hear the humor in her voice.

Celeborn stood up and went over to her. "I thank you for forgiving my foolish behavior." he said as he kissed Denise on the cheek.

"Hey get your own woman!" Legolas teased from the doorway.

"He has one thank you." Heidi shot back. "I am sorry Legolas. I didn't mean what I said."

"It's ok." he smiled at her. "It was the anger talking."

Denise smiled and turned to Celeborn "We all are foolish every once in a while. Even Princes and elven lords!"

They all smiled at each other and everything seemed to be alright again.

Legolas and Celeborn left when the ladies fell asleep after the noon meal. They went in search or Lady Arwen to apologize to her. They found her out in the gardens singing a lovely song.

"Granddaughter?" he asked in a low voice,

Arwen stopped singing and turned to face them. "Yes?" her voiced was icy.

"I am sorry I made you lie. Twas not right." Celeborn knelt in front of her and took her hnads into his.

"Did you tell them this?" Arwen's voice was less hostile.

"Yes and Valar help us they forgive me." Celeborn joked.

Arwen smiled and turned to Legolas. "I am sorry I yelled at you yesterday."

"It is ok." he replied.

Arwen stood. "Let us go see them alright?"

The three of them went off to visit with Heidi and Denise.
