Summary: Dinner with the family. Follows “House and Home~Home Coming”. Elven ages of 12 and 10 translate to human ages of 7 and 6.

Erestor smiled as his children and his husband settled around the dinner table. His two eldest children, both daughters of twelve and ten respectively were in the process of tormenting each other, obviously a carry over from before he had arrived home for the evening.

“Aaadaaa, she’s picking on meeee!” whined Aiwë, his second oldest.

“Darling be quiet and eat your dinner,” said Glorfindel as he spooned out steamed and buttered peas to his family. Erestor chuckled and started doling out the roast.

“OW!” yelled Pearl, the oldest. “ADA SHE KICKED ME!”

“Did not!”

“Did so!”

“Did not!”

“Did so!”

Erestor put down his cutlery and said with the patience of a saint, “Both of you will mind your manners at the dinner table, or you will both go to bed early.”

Silence reigned for a moment before Pearl asked very sweetly and primly, “Ada, may I please throw my peas at Aiwë?”

Glorfindel glared at his daughter while Erestor stifled a snort. Glorfindel flipped his head to glare at Erestor instead. Erestor shrugged and said, “Well, she did ask politely.”

Aiwë = Small bird.
