Ch32

As the prince slowly walked
down the hall and tried to wrap his mind around what he had just seen and
learned, he glanced down one of the hallways he was passing and stopped cold.

Before his eyes were an
elleth�and Elladan. Legolas blinked and shook his head as he watched him kiss,
feel and press his body against her, then moments later, they disappeared into
the door they were standing in front of.

Legolas took a deep breath,
moved one step forward, then stopped and swallowed hard as he thought �Elladan
twin�twin like elleth�s�that�that Elrohir not�not my Elladan�

The prince was suddenly pulled
from his thoughts by a gentle voice �Prince Legolas?�

The young blond turned, and
then took a small step back �Lord Elrond�what want?�

The elven lord was pleasantly
surprised by the almost friendly tone and smiled �You not answer my voice, you
alright?�

Legolas nodded and shrugged his
shoulders �I�m alright, was frightened moment ago�

Elrond tilted his head and kept
his voice calm �Why frightened?�

Legolas explained what he had
just seen, his fear, and then realization. Elrond nodded �If makes you feel
better, I just left Elladan in his study�

The prince lightly smiled and
nodded, then bit his lip and furrowed his brow as he took a small step forward
�L�lord Elrond m�master healer�

Elrond arched his brow and
smiled back �Nai Legolas, I am lord of land master warrior healer, have
question? Your not hurt are y��

Legolas took a step back and
shook his head �Nay!�

Elrond swiftly put up his hands
�Alright�what need?�

The prince took a deep breath,
and then sighed, �Oil for my Elladan�but�not sure what use�

Elrond smiled kindly and nodded
�Intelligent idea, oil eases the way, Elladan not tear then�

Legolas took a small step forward,
then lowered his head and whispered �Would you�help me f�find good oil?�

Elrond hid his shock behind a
calm fa�ade and thought �Aye, how difficult this must be for you to come to me
for help�you must truly love my son to even remain in this conversation
and hallway with me� �Nai prince
Legolas, of course I will help you�though we must go to healing wing�

The princes gaze shot up and he
trembled slightly. Elrond watched as the young prince took control of himself
and swallowed hard �Alright�will t�trust master healer for my Elladan�

Elrond slowly led the prince to
the healing wing, purposely passing by Elladan�s study window on the way. When
the elder twin saw that Legolas was actually following and mildly speaking to
his father, he swiftly dropped what he was doing and followed.

When he reached the healing
wing, the elder twin watched as his father removed several jars of oil from the
shelves and placed them on the counter.

Elrond smiled kindly and arched
his brow �These work well, gentle and promote healing. Elladan is half-elven�he
heals well, but help is always��

Legolas looked at the jars, and
then up at the lord �I love Elladan�

Elrond smiled and nodded �I
know prince Legolas, tis plain to see�

The prince then closed his
eyes, took a deep breath, opened them and stood tall �I love Elladan�want him
be with me�you�you approve?�

Elladan�s jaw dropped as his
heart lurched to his throat and thought happily �Valar�he is asking Adar for
permission?� The elder twin then looked at his father and trembled �Oh
Ada saes�say nai�say nai!�

Elrond lightly chuckled and
nodded �Nai prince Legolas�I approve. I like thought of Elladan with you�will
not be easy for you�but you are welcome in my family�

Legolas smiled from ear to ear,
then turned to the door as Elladan slowly walked in and pretended innocence
�Legolas�what doing in healing chamber with Adar�

The prince smiled and sighed,
�Elladan, you say you need oil, so I get you oil�

The elder twin pulled Legolas
close, knowing it would calm him some, then grabbed a jar �I personally like
this one�

Legolas gave him a light kiss,
and then looked at him pleadingly �We leave healing wing now? Saes?�

Elladan nodded sympathetically
and smiled �Means a lot to me that you brave healing wing with Adar to get me
oil�

Legolas shrugged �Not want hurt
you if let me do again�Ada show me gentle�now I know and be gentle my Elladan�

The elder twin lightly caressed
his cheek and whispered �Nai�your Elladan�

Later that day, everyone
gathered on the main terrace for a midday picnic. As everyone ate, Legolas
lightly cut his finger, slumped, dropped his head forward and sighed heavily.
Without a word, the prince just put his hand out to his right and resumed
eating with his left.

Thranduil and Erintur smiled as
they watched Elladan take his hand, dab some ointment on the cut, wrap it with
a small cloth, then let go and resume eating.

Elrond and Thranduil shared a
smile as they heard Legolas whisper �Hannon le� with Elladan�s quiet response
�Your welcome melanin�

Glorfindel lightly laughed as
he tweaked the tip of the princes ear �See penneth? All healers not bad�

Legolas narrowed his eyes then
arched his brow �Nai, this one good�all others still leery�

The seneschal nodded and looked
over to Thranduil and Erintur �Well, it is a start�

Legolas then glanced back to
the elder twin and sighed �We must do something make you easy recognize�

Elladan tilted his head and the
prince sighed, �Earlier, I saw Elrohir in hall with elleth�they kissing,
touching, then go in room��

Legolas paused as Elrohir
groaned embarrassedly and bit his lip �Sorry Elrohir�

As the eldar�s lightly
chuckled, Legolas cleared his throat and continued �When first saw, thought was
you and�and my heart hurt. I then remembered that you were a twin��

Erestor suddenly turned, smiled
and lightly gasped �Oh!�

Everyone turned and the advisor
arched his brow �Did you not hear the prince? He just spoke a proper sentence�

Legolas furrowed his brow �What
I say�

Erestor smiled and leaned
forward as he repeated �I then remembered that you were a twin��

The advisor looked over at
Thranduil and sighed happily �If we begin my tutoring now��

Elladan noticed that Legolas
was looking at the table with his brow furrowed and held up his hand for
Erestor to stop �Legolas, what�s wrong�

The prince took a deep breath
and nervously looked at him �You fall for me when I like this, what if you not
like me when I not speak tre��

Elladan swiftly placed his
finger over the princes lips �Shh�I love you no mater how you speak�

Erestor tilted his head and
sighed as he thought �I did not think on the fact that he associates the way
he speaks with who he is�I have more work ahead of me then I thought,
Glorfindel was right�he needs to be more confident in himself before I can help�

As everyone resumed there eating, a messenger silently
stood within the archway. Elrond nodded and motioned for him to approach and
took the scroll.

As he looked at the seal and
the adjacent names, he lightly smiled and arched his brow �Tis from Haldir of
Lorien, it is addressed to both of you.

Elladan took the scroll from
his father and Elrohir smiled, got up, stood behind his brother, and read it
over his shoulder.

After a few moments, both the
twins beamed and Elladan handed the letter to his younger half. Elladan then
leaned forward and looked at his father �Adar, Haldir has time off and wishes
to visit, may he come?�
