Title: The Orli Chronicles – Problems
In Paradise

Summary: A little in betweener. Viggo promises Orlando a week of fun and relaxation on his
farm in Idaho
but a phone call changes everything. How will Orlando react to the news?

Chapter 4 –
Things Return To Normal

When Orlando groaned, Viggo
hovered over him immediately. “Oh angel” he said as he stroked his cheek “How
are you feeling?”

“Viggo?” Orlando whispered, still
a little loopy from the surgery “What are you doing here?”

“Easy”
Viggo said “I love you and I’m not going anywhere. You can be sure of that. I
promise you. You just close your eyes and get some sleep.”

“I love you
Vig” Orlando
sobbed as he started crying “I love you so much. Please don’t leave me alone
ever again.”

“Oh Orli
baby” Viggo said as he lowered the railing of the bed and gathered Orlando in his arms “I’ll
never let you go ever again all right. I love you too angel.” He gently rocked Orlando until the dark
haired beauty fell asleep in his arms. After making him comfortable they all
left the room to go and make the necessary arrangements to get Orlando home and to talk to Fiona.

She agreed
with Viggo and planned a press release so that Orlando will get the rest her needs.

Viggo
hardly slept that night and was already making coffee as Henry stepped into the
kitchen.

“Eager for
him to get home?” the youth asked and Viggo nodded.

“Yep. I’ll
pamper him and we’ll straighten out this whole problem.”

“Is he
going to come home with you or where is he going to stay?” Henry asked as he
took his cup of coffee from Viggo.

“We’ll see
what he wants. He still has two weeks before he actually needs to be here so
maybe we’ll fly home and come back when he’s feeling better. What time can I go
and get him?”

“In about
an hour’s time” Henry said “She said you can pick him up at about ten, after he
had another check up.”

Viggo
nodded and placed his dirty cup in the sink. “I’m going to go and take a shower
and then I’ll head over to the hospital. I’ll need some time to speak to Orli
so we’ll be home a little later, probably go take a walk in Central.”

Henry
nodded and smiled as his father walked up the stairs. Looks like things were
working out and Orlando
will be back in their lives soon enough. He was glad that his father was happy
for once.

Orlando groaned softly as Debra gently
examined his feet.

“Still
tender?” she asked and Orlando
nodded his head.

“Very” he
replied as he lay back against the pillows and closed his eyes. A familiar
presence made him open his eyes, but he couldn’t help moaning again as Debra
pressed against a tender cut.

“I’m sorry
honey” she said as she carefully bandaged his feet again and then moved to
check his pulse. “The nurse is going to take out the IV and then you can go
home. But you have to keep off your feet and get enough rest.”

She turned
to Viggo, whom was standing in the room as well. “His medicine is going to make
him a little drowsy and out of it but I need him to finish the course. You’ll
have to keep an eye on his fever and call me if it doesn’t get better. I’ll be
coming by tomorrow afternoon to check up on him.”

“Thank you”
Orlando
murmured as he relaxed, allowing the nurse to carefully pull the IV line out of
his arm. He flinched a little as the needle came out but Viggo was there to
comfort him.

Another
nurse brought a wheelchair into the room as well as some papers for Viggo and
Orlando to sign.

Orlando allowed Viggo to pick him up and
settle him in the wheelchair. Draping a blanket over him they walked with them
as Viggo started pushing him towards the exit. Once he was settled in the car
he thanked them for everything and then Viggo drove him home.

Orlando drifted off in the car and Viggo
decided to leave the talk for later since Orlando
was going to be out of it for a while. He phoned Henry and told him that they
would be home sooner than he said and the boy said that he’d get Orlando’s room ready for
him. He also said that Craig and David were on their way from the airport.

Henry was
waiting at the front door as Viggo pulled into the driveway of the house Elijah
had managed to get them to hire on such short notice. It belonged to his cousin
whom was out of town for the next two months.

Viggo
carefully got out and quietly closed the door. Walking around, he opened the
door on the passenger side and carefully lifted a sleeping Orlando out of the seat and carried him
inside. He walked up the few steps to the rooms and placed Orlando in the bed that Henry had gotten
ready.

Without
having Viggo say the words, Henry went outside to get the wheelchair and Orlando’s bag from the
car. His other stuff was there already.

Liv had
gone back to the hotel that evening and packed all of Orlando’s stuff, dropping it off with Henry
before she left for the airport to fly to the set of her next movie.

As he
walked into the room, he couldn’t help but smile as he saw his father making Orlando as comfortable as
he could. He quietly placed the bag in the cupboard and the stood in the door,
watching the two men he loved (one as his father, and one as his friend and
soon to be step father) help heal each other.

“Viggo” Orlando murmured as Viggo
pulled the comforter over him.

“You’re
home angel” Viggo said “Just close your eyes and go to sleep. I’ll bring you
something to eat later.”

Orlando nodded and was soon lost in
dreamland.

“Is he
okay?” Henry asked as he and Viggo walked into the kitchen. “He looks so pale.”

“He’s going
to need a lot of rest” Viggo replied “So I would appreciate it if you cut down
on the music and games for a while. He’s very tired and the medication is
making him a little loopy. When he’s better I’m taking him back to Los Angeles with me. The
press conference is going to have to do without him for a while.”

Henry
nodded and smiled. “You want me to go and get the groceries” he said “Elijah
called and said that he and Sean will come by later on to see how Orlando’s doing. Why
don’t you stay with him and I’ll go and get some food?”

“Thanks
junior” Viggo said as he ruffled Henry’s hair and handed him the keys to his
car. “I’m going to quickly take a shower and then see how Orlando’s doing. Get us all the necessary
stuff and something nice for him to eat. I don’t know how the medication is
affecting him so try a few light snacks, for in case the medicine makes him a
little sick.”

“Will do
so” Henry said as he picked his jacket and took his wallet out of the pocket.

“My
wallet’s on the cupboard in the kitchen if you need some money” Viggo said
before he walked up the stairs to take a shower.

Henry
nodded and then took his jacket and left the house, sure that his father and
Orlando were on the road to recovery.
