Donna ran like the wind, like as if the devil was after her. With a very pissed-off Elf-Lord after her, the devil would have been a nice change of pace. She had no idea where she was going, and was very glad that the window had been on the ground floor of the house.
Soon, she saw the stables where her horse would be kept at, and she ran towards them. Entering the stables, Donna quickly found her horse, and was about to mount him saddle or not, when a arm wrapped around her waist.
She would have screamed for her life, if a large hand had not clamped down over her mouth at that time. She could feel a tall lean body press against her back, and her eyes widen when she saw black hair fall over her shoulder, when her capturer leaned forward.
"I told you, that the one behind you would be me! Now, I think it is time for a little payback!" Elrond hissed out against her ear, as he dragged her backwards. He moved them towards the back of the stables, where the hay bales where kept, and finding a mound of lose hay, he tossed her on her back on top of it.
Moving fast, he was soon straddling her hips, and ripping a piece of her blouse off, he gaged her with it. "You took from me, so now I will take from you!" Elrond growled out, as he pinned her wrists above her head with one hand, and ripped open her blouse with the other.
Sitting back on her hips, Elrond stared in shock at her bruised covered breasts and chest. Flicking his eyes towards her face, her bandaged hands caught his attention, and the healer in him replaced the angered Lord.
Hearing a muffled sob, Elrond released her hands, and felt shamed at the way he had treated her.
"I am sorry. In my anger, I forgot the reasons why are here." Elrond whispered, as he gently skimmed his hands down her chest, using his healing abilities to find out the existent of her injuries. Finding a odd energy reading on her left side, he moved both his hands there, and started to prob the area. Elrond winced, as he felt the broken ribs, and knew that it had to be very painful for her, when he tossed her down. Hearing her pained sobbing again, Elrond moved off of her as she rolled on her unhurt side, and she curled up in a ball as she released heartfelt wracking sobs.
"My Lord?" Glorfindel's voice called out, and Elrond turned his face towards his shenshel. Glorfindel stood at the entrance of the stables, with a worried expression on his face. "Tiss alright Glorfindel. Come in, if you wish." Elrond said, in a much calmer tone.
Seeing Glorfindel's questioning expression, "I will explain later. Let's just get her back to the house." Elrond said, as he moved to pick up the woman. She flinched when he touched her shoulder gently, and Elrond once again felt guilt course through him. "Shhhhhhh, it's alright. I will not hurt you, I promise. Just let me help you." Elrond crooned, as he picked her up very gently.
Carrying her with one arm behind her back and the other under her knees, Elrond quickly moved out of the stables, and headed for his house.
Stepping through the window, because it was the fastest way to get back into her room, Elrond carried her over to the bed. Elrond smiled in gratitude at Erestor, when he saw his healing supplies sitting on the bedside table, as he gently laid her on the bed.
"Erestor, put a pot of water on to heat quickly, and prepare a sleeping drought." Elrond the healer barked out, as he sat on the side of the bed. Grabbing a clean sheet, Elrond covered her with it, as he stripped her of her clothing.
Starting at her head, Elrond quickly examined her for other injuries, and the list was growing as he continued. "Minor burns on the back of her neck, and also on her arms and back. Three broke ribs on her left side. A severe cut on her right thigh, and also two more on her lower left-hand calf. " Elrond muttered out to Erestor to record.
Removing the bandages from her hands, Elrond involuntarily sucked in his breath, when he saw the amount of damage. "Her hands are the worse. Burned severely down to muscle and tendons." Elrond hissed out, as he thought about her days as a healer was over
Donna through all of this, stared blankly at the ceiling, not even moaning in pain when he touched painful areas on her body. Her thoughts were on the night of the fire, the night she had received these injuries.
Her friend Mary, had been home alone with her young daughter when the fire broke out. Donna tried desperately to get to them, as their screams rang out in the night. The last she remembered, was a fiery wall collapsing on her, until she woke up the next day.
It was then, that she found out that her three best friends Michelle,Faith, and Red had been the ones to pull her out of the fire. Faith had lost the baby she had conceived through this Elf-Lord's capture, and Donna felt guilty about that, as well as the guilty about not being able to help Mary and her daughter.
Tears formed in Donna's eyes, and she cried bitterly, as the Elf-Lord's tender hands moved across her body. Another thing she had to feel guilty about, was the Elf-Lord.
Elrond took the cup Erestor handed to him, just as Donna started to cry uncontrollably. Sliding his arm under her shoulders, he gently lifted her and forced her to drink the drought, and she refused it.
"Drink! It will take away the pain, and help you to sleep!" Elrond growled out, as he forced the cup between her lips. Finally getting the drought down her throat, Elrond was pleased to see her eyes close within a few minutes.
"I fixed it extra strong, just in case. I take it, that this is the woman who had you kidnapped?" Erestor asked from over his shoulder, and Elrond shook his head in answer.
"Hmmmm, and what of the others?" Erestor asked, as a concerned Glorfindel walked over to them.
"Do nothing now. I will take care of it later." Elrond said, as he eased the woman back down on the bed.
"My Lord, there is something I think you should know." Glorfindel said, as he placed his hand on friefriend's shoulder.
Elrond turned his head, and raised an eyebrow in question.
"I overheard the other women talking. The one called Faith, she suffered a miscarriage after the fire." Glorfindel said sadly, because despite the way the child had been conceived, all children of the Elves where revered.
Elrond closed his eyes and sighed sadly,"I could have been a father? It is something, I have wished for dearly." Elrond whispered softly, not for the first time wishing his marriage had been blessed with children.
"As all male Elves, My Lord." Glorfindel softly stated, as he squeezed his shoulder.
"Why this Valar-cursed disability of our females to bare children is upon us, I do not know. " Elrond whispered softly, as he thought about the fact that he and his twin were the last Elven children born, and they where from a mixed marriage.
"Half-Elven?" Elrond whispered out, as a strange light appeared in his eyes.
"My friends. I think I know a solution!" Elrond said excitedly, as he turned towards his friends curious gazes.
