Timeless Love

AN: Yes this is very short, however, its just the prologue and the actual chapters will be much longer. Now then, however short it is, I hope you enjoyit and review please!

"Why will you not stay?" He asked softly, trying once more to change her mind.

"Because loving you is perhaps the one thing I could not survive. Your love would destroy me." She murmured, just loud enough for him to hear before she walked down the hallway.

"But can you truly survive without it?" He called after her.

"Perhaps not, but such a fate would not be near as painful as enduring your notion of love."

It was the last thing she'd said to him. Three thousand years had passed since that eve, and still he could think only of her. He attempted to banish her memory from his mind and body in the arms of others, however none could elicit any sort of passion within him. Over time, he became cold, indifferent. No one was able to breach the walls around his heart, and evenually no one tried anymore.

And then she came back.
