Reviews for Anestel

@elflover *blushes* Damn, you're right about the robe. I'll fix it and then repost the chapter. Thanks for pointing it out!
About Glorfindel returning to their room: this is a case of me knowing exactly what the layout of the garden and the buildings is like and therefore failing to describe it appropriately. Actually, when Glorfindel left Legolas in the garden to fetch the cakes, he entered their rooms and then went to the kitchen from there... looks like there's another candidate for fixing and reposting. ;)

I wish I could say that I'd post the next chapter today and so answer your questions with it, but I fear this will have to wait one more day since I'm too tired for writing right now. Still, something you'll probably be glad to hear is that I've almost reached the end of Anestel, perhaps two or three more chapters and then Anestel will end -- although the story won't, it will be continued in a sequel. I feel the need for a shaine, ine, since that sequel will deal with several changes, mostly concerning Legolas, his behaviour and his relationship with Glorfindel. I won't tell too much right now, but for those who are wondering -- this is not going to turn into an endlessly repeating bdsm pwp. There'll be changes... but then, d/s is one of my major kinks, so this story won't grow into your usual fluffy happy end fic either. Legolas still has a long way to go. :)

*dang, I wish we could edit our reviews, so I wouldn't have to keep adding on!*

I was just over at ff.net reading *their* reviews, and yes, just why *did* Glorfindel take the food back to the room, instead of outside in the garden? See, another continuity thing....

(And I agree with some of the reviewers over there... I still wish we could have seen Glorfindel pound those two into the dust!)

    *Whoa*!

    Legolas fights back! YAYYYYY!!!!!!

Please, please, please, don't let those stablehands take it out on Laniell! *begs*

This was a nicely done chapter.... we really see too much of Legolas sobbing, whimpering, begging, etc. but we don't really get all that much insight into what's going on in his mind (not to mention that we haven't seen him fight back much against the abuses heaped on him!) These last two chapters have given us a nice interior look, thanks. And I'm *so* pleased (relieved?) that he has enough integrity left to not let just anyone abuse him.

Now the question is, is Glorfindel going to continue to be totally clueless? Is he going to realize that something happened, and if so, is he going to be able to make Legolas confess all the abuse that he is taking from the rest of the Imladris Elves? And if so, what is he going to do about it? Will it make him examine his attitude towards Legolas, and change at least his public interactions with him?

And if Glorfindel *doesn't* realize what just happened, are those two stablehands going to make another attempt on Legolas? (I'm rather surprised Legolas got away, to be honest...)

Another cliffhanger here (though not nearly so torturous and dramatic as the last one)...

Finally, a criticism if I may.... (What? You say that everything I write is *already* criticism? lol...) I was under the impression that Legolas/Glorfindel had come directly back to their rooms, and from thence, directly out to the garden. So I was very surprised to see Legolas in a tunic and leggings, as opposed to wearing the robe from the library scene. (This seems to be another instance of what, IMHO, seems to be occasional continuity/pacing problems. There have been other chapters where I thought that things were continuing timewise directly (or at least same-day) from the last chapter, but then I discovered that weeks or months must have passed. It's confusing and disconcerting.)

    Anyway, please update soon!

I can't believe I'm liking ch.29.Anyway,so Elrohir went to Mirkwood as a hostage too?Although a peace treaty was signed,I don't think it's over for Legolas. What are the chances that Glorfindel will blame Legolas for what happened with the 2 stablehands?Or Glorfindel will be even morousroused? In any case,I hope that Glorfindel will at least punish those 2 assholes without involving Legolas.I still find it hard to accept their relationship but then again,I will keep an open mind.More please!!!

    Esteliel,

My email to you is bouncing including the story i and trying to send to you. Do you have another email address i could send to? If not i do- let me know. The message i received is that email is refused from anything out of the county- weird.

BTW great chapter!! I love how his mare is still so loyal to him. Very sweet. The two stable lads? well i really have a hard time picturing any elf as being such a bully. Perhaps they are momentarily deranged?

    Alright. *gets grip*

If Erestor last chapter didn't answer the question, this pair does.... Legolas is surely despised by (most) all at Rivendell. (Excepting maybe Elrond.... I *really* can't figure him out in this AU.... And while Glorfindel *may* not despise Legolas, I still disbelieve any warm fuzzy feelings on his part.)

Praying (never thought I'd see the day) that Glorfindel gets back there promptly so he can save Legolas.... and so he can pound those two into the dust. (While I don't doubt that two Elves can overpower one, there are some conflicting messages as to Legolas' state of health and strength... Legolas seems to think he is almost up to snuff, yet we saw him exhausted at the end of chapter 27, hence in an exhausted state now -- making him very easy prey. Soch ich is it, really? Strong and healthy or not? Or was Legolas never really physically strong to begin with?)

Finally, why do I fear that somehow Legolas is going to be blamed for this? He sang a song... drew his horse... drew the stable boys.... obviously all his fault! *sigh*

    Poor Legolas!

Ophirianne -- Read my quote... I *did* say "many", not "most". (*Shudders* at your vision of a "happy" ending...)

I'm wondering (more like hoping) if Glorfindel has gone too far this time. Certainly at the end of Chap. 27, Legolas really isn't reacting to him to same way. Even after giving Glorfindel a child, he is still being used, abused, humilated....and called a whore. From Legolas' viewpoint, there has to be nothing positive to this life--no kiss on the neck can make up for all this! And just what is that expression he was hiding? Grief? Hatred? Rebellion? (Relief that he distracted Glorfindel from thoughts of punishment, and whatever it is that Legolas is hiding?) Ohhh, I so hope Glorfindel's treatment of him is going to backfire bigtime, and he is going to get a comeuppance. Maybe then he will accord Legolas a bit of respect!

    *fuming at that "whore" comment*

    Quote Elflover;
"(I don't know how you could say that many people have this streak... but I guess it is one of those things that you really don't have any control over, such as an attraction to a certain hair color or body type.)"

I didn't say "most" though i tend to suspect that myself. I said "many." because I personally know of many who get sexual arousal/satisfaction from pain. If you think of all the people in the world who are involved in BDSM the term "many" is quite an understatement.

Happy endings? Does Legolas have to get away from Glorfindel and reject everything Glorfindel has been working towards in order to make this story have a "happy" ending. i have a very different idea of what a happy ending to this story should be. SUBMISSIVE BUTTBOY LEGOLAS ON A LEASH!!! YEAH!! GO BABY!!!

As to the fiction- Keep up the good work Esteliel!!! More chapters!! More chapters!!
