Esteliel -- thanks very much for your comments. Perhaps I am very impatient, but I was wondering where (or if) things were headed, so it is good to know that you have the long-term story all plotted out. I will take your word that this is going to have a sort-of happy ending, and try to hang in there with this addiction (this story *is* addictive; you *are* very talented)... Maybe I need to not identify with Legola muc much... (d/s non-con... *shudder* just plain-out rape somehow seems so much... cleaner...)

I like the little tantalizing glimpse that you gaveto wto why Elrohir was in such a hurry to leave for Mirkwood. (I do hope that that will not be a short story...). I'm not quite so sure that Glorfindel would have said "huh" to Erestor, though...that doesn't have quite the right Tolkien-esque flavor. I am now also wondering if Erestor has big problems, or if Glorfindel reallys trs try to draw attention to himself.

I am intrigued with what is up with Legolas right now. I get some hints of rebellion (good for him!), both in whatever his independent action was, and in his emotions at the end of the current chapter (after Erestor in the library...sigh...I did so want Elrond to rescue Legolas!). As for his action -- the only thing that I can think of, is that maybe he sent word to Celeduir about the birth (a son, he survived). I do not thhe whe would think Glorfindel would appreciate such independence! (It would make sense that he would want to tell someone in his family, and Celeduir is the only "safe" individual... he already knows the worst, yet still has some small shred of love for Legolas. This all presupposes, though, that there is some normalized relations with Mirkwood now, including at least semi-regular courier service. This also presupposes that any letter that Legolas would give to a courier, would indeed go to its intended recepient, and not directly back to Glorfindel! Which brings another comment -- I think you missed out on another opportunity (you did sort of set it up, then ignore it) by not addressing the first public meal after the birth. I was really wondering what Legolas' reception/treatment at that dinner would have been....if the Imladris elves still despised him. I guess we have the answer, at least on Erestor's part... And frankly, if this is ultimately going to be a "happy" ending story, then the attitude of (the majority of) the Imladris elves is going to have to change to a more positive one towards Legolas. It's going to be interesting to see how you handle that.)

Finally, I'm happy that we will be seeing another update very soon!

@elflover Well, I've always said that eventually, Legolas and Glorfindel will find themselves in a loving and healthy d/s relationship -- it will still take a little time until then, though. I at least do not consider this a PWP -- I've got my plot all planned out (with a possible prequel, two sequels and a sidestory, if my muses don't leave me) and I will resolve most of the issues... but there will be a healthy dose of sex mixed in as well. ;)
Concerning the d/s aspect, ophirianne has already given a wonderful description of what Glorfindel is trying to do. And yes, I actually like my Glorfindel very much, he's a totally perfect dom and hot as hell -- as a fantasy. In real life, the non-con aspect would of course bother and revolt me, but this isn't real, and as a fantasy, I like the forced submission very much. Of course it would grow boring very quickly if it would stay this way forever, but things are going to change very soon... I won't tell everything here, but Legolas is not going to stay this way forever. And a completely broken and spiritless slave wouldn't be much fun for Glorfindel either... ;)
And yes, I'll go back to writing some more now and post the next chapter very soon. :)

Oh, and ... *coughs* For those of you who are wondering what exactly Glorfindel did to Legolas, a quick search for anal beads will probably turn up more than you wanted to know -- although I wouldn't recommend to search while in an internefe ofe or a library. ;)

    Excellent point.

If things end up the way they appear to be heading, Legolas will have lost everything: dignity, pride, honor, self-respect, freedom, independence, individuality, and (for lack of an Elvish word) his humanity. His spirit and/or soul, if you will.

Legolas' motivation has been his child, but ultimately, I believe that he will lose his children (as Glorfindel intends to sire more) also. I cannot believe that any children, once they are old enough to clue in, would have any respect for him. No respect, no love.

And, as Lady of Legolas points out, with that kind of example, the children may well end up emulating their sire. The sins of the father, indeed...

Did anybody else ever thought about their son?Is he going to grow up thinking that it is okay to be treated as such? What would he think about his sire treating his "Nileth"(I saw this word somre)are)as some kind of ....?Anyway,am I babbling?Fine,I hope that their son won't witness any of Legolatreatreatment by Glorfindel.I hate to think of what that boy will do if rowsrows up and treats other elves(whether male or female)the same way his sire treats his Nileth.Oh Valar, the sins of the father.

Ophirianne- I think that most of us have clued in on the fact that Glorfindel is a sadist, and we know what a sadist is. It is also becoming apparent that Legolas has a masochistic streak -- something that Glorfindel has probably tuned in on, and is going to make the most of. (I don't know how you could say thany pny people have tstrestreak... but I guess it is one of those things that you really don't have any control over, such as an attraction to a certain hair color or body type.) The thing is, there is a world of difference between having a certain bent or weakness, and acting on it. Glorfindel glories in his sadism (well, excepting that he does seem to be able to control his urges to the extent that permanent damage is not done). Legolas is still (to his credit, in my opinion) fighting against this aspect of his personality, although it looks like it is going to be a losing battle, given the circumstances. (One devoutly yearns for his rescue from these circumstances.)

As for the whole D/s business... as you pointed out, this is really not being done with Legolas' full and willing consent. Thanks for your explanation on the whys and wherefores of what Glorfindel is doing, but given that it is a non-con situation, it really is revolting to see Legolas being broken like this. Just as some readers can't tolerate physical rape scenarios, some of us have difficulty coping with this mental/emotional rape scenario. (So why do we keep reading and commenting, eh, Precious? Probably a buried masochistic streak of our own...)

As to what's not to love about a sex slave -- I don't understand D/s relationships (frankly, it seems to me a betrayal of one's own humanity to be so totally submissive), so I don't know what is considered "love" or not in these relationships. In general, though, it seems to me that there is a world of difference between the affection that one bestows on a pet, and the love that one bestows on an equal. I do not see that Glorfindel can or will *ever* recognize Legolas as an equal, so from my narrow viewpoint (and given the post-birth events), I find it hard to believe that this will ever be a love relationship. JMHO.

Este -- -- I know that it is selfish, but one wishes for more frequent updates, especially given the short chapters. I also have to concur with others, and wonder where this is all going to. Are we ever going to get resolution of certain things, such as Legolas' relationship with his family, especially Thranduil? (He really needs to bear responsibility for some of this mess.) Is this story ever going to come to some overall resolution, or is it an especially long PWP that is going to keep on going indefinitely, with infinite torture and humilation for Legolas? Or is this going to resolve *shudder* all in Glorfindel's favor -- with a broken submissive Legolas? I'm not sure that I would want to stay around for the latter.

    Quote Lady of Legolas;

"now I seriously think that Glorfindel will never really love Legolas and will only treat him asex sex slave"

What's not to love about a sex slave?

This story is wonderful!! I have a feeling though a lot of people just don’t understand what Glorfinds trs trying to do here. He is not being mean. In fact he is being wonderfully consistent. He is the dominant and he is attempting to break Legolas’s will- very successfully I might add. Why is he doing this? Because both he andolasolas will find a great deal of emotional pleasure from the kind of power exchange when Legolas finally totally surrenders to Glorfindel and Glorfindel takes complete control and responsibility for Legolas. Right now Glorfindel is using humiliation insofar as placing Legolas in embarrassing situations around other people. He is doing this to break Legolas’s will to resist and to remove any shreds of insubordination he may have. When Legolas finally realizes that it is not his responsibility to worry about what other people think about how he is submitting to Glorfindel then Glorfindel will no longer feel the need to humiliate him in front of other people.

Will Legolas continue to be a doormat and a wimp? Probably not. When he learns to obey his master without question then as far as the rest of the world is concerned there is no reason why Legolas can not be admired for he strength his intelligence and his ability- even as a warrior. However Glorfindel may decide to keep him bearing children for a while longer.

The author is writing a classic D/s situation, how everyone wants it to happen in real life but it rarely ever does. The only thing that is really missing – and since this is a fantasy slash fanfiction story we have to accept it- is Legolas’s complete consent. He nly nly consenting to these conditions because he has no other choice. This only makes it harder for Glorfindel to clear away any resistance Legolas might have before he can totally own him.

Oh and by the way Glorfindel is a sadist meaning he gets sexual satisfaction from inflicting pain. Legolas is learning that he gets sexual stimulation from receiving pain- hardly unusual, many many people probably do and don’t realize it.

Esteliel, don't get me wrong here,I do love this story. And before anyone tells me it's only a story(which I know it is),I am a sucker for happy endings which I don't see happening here.I also knoat nat not all stories have that kind of ending but I can only take so much torture especially if that torture is towards Legolas.I do have the choice whether or not to continue reading this.BTW,Elflover,if you want to e-mail me to talk about this fic, please do so.My addy is available.I don't want the review board to become a "battleground"(I'm not saying it will be)of words like ff.net has sometimes. Before I forget,I want to thank the owner of this site for enabling readers to review as much as they can since ff.net has limited its readers to 1 review per new chapter. Why am I even talking about this?I guess I have to wait till next chapter if Legolas will get those balls out himself or someone else.

I want to add that as much as I really love reading this fic,it's bordering on whether or not it suits my thinking.I just don't like Legolas being tortured so much by Glorfindel.Well, this incident with the balls, now I seriously think that Glorfindel will never really love Legolas and will only treat him as a sex slave. For crying out loud Legolas, grow some thick skin and defend whatever is left(if any)of your dignity. Please somebody tell me that Legolas has other choices like escape or death(not really).Just because he has a child with Glorfindel doesn't mean that he has to stay with him.I want a happy Legolas!!!!Anon!!on!!!!
