Reviews for Strange Allies

Hon, I don't care how you do it, you can send him via UPS for all I care, but... I WANT THAT ELF!!! No, let me specify that: I want that elf, I want him now and I want him to teach me the same bloody thing he told *glares enviously at female protagonist* HER! Seriously, can you even return to an ordinary sex life with an equally ordinary male member of the human species after you have written yourself into such a wonderful frenzy over this ever so perfect elf love? Honestly I am tempted to tell my husband next time we do it to "fully unleash his desire" so we can bond, but I have a nagging feeling that won't get me very far other than earning me a few confused looks. *g*

OK, I'll keep this short and sweet since today is Harry Potter day! Yes I love that little wizard and I don't care for people who say that LOTR and HP cannot survive in the same universe. *g* Live with it, people.

Have a wonderful weekend, dear! :)

*sighhhhhhhh* Well, apparently, my last 2 reviews didn't go through. : Hopefully, this one will. *crosses fingers*

These last few chapters have really been emotionally draining. The tension between these two wonderful characters has been so thick, you could cut it with a knife! I love it! LOL!!

The reason I love this story so much is because it is an unconventional love story. This is a fantastically, wonderful story of finding and accepting love wherever it may be found. On top of that, you've managed to create characters that we all route for, and actually care about. Heck, I love Annowe and Haldir. I love Legolas, too...well, I don't love him in THIS story, but under normal circumstances I would. LOL!! In this story, I just want him longggggg gone! LOL!!!

I was in tears when Haldir finally told Annowe how he felt about her. I'm very anxious to find out what will happen to them now that Haldir may have to leave. I, myself, am hoping for a non-angsty ending. (hint, hint) *grins*

    Great job!

Sandra has captured exactly how I feel every time I read this story. It's like watching a play or a mini-drama and you're part of the action - not just sitting back.

When I read the bonding scene, I thought that's what it might have been. Like Annowe, I just wasn't sure of the strength of it til now. As much as he is a manipulative, sensual being - he does have a great potential to love (no...make that BOTH of them)

More curious to know the ending.

PS-For those in London or have peeps that you care about, my thoughts and prayers go out to you. I enjoyed being in London very much when I was there and am saddened at what happened to its people.

    *faints*

I still don't know how you do it, but with every chapter you increase the innner drama and tension of this wonderful story making me sit on the edge of my seat with every word that I read. I cannot help it, my heart goes out to these characters and I have truly fallen in love with them AS characters. Yes, I know they are "hawt" too, but that is not what I mean right now. Yes, it is naughty, yes, it is sexy, yes, it is erotic and sensual. But it has become so much more. As I reader I have almost instantly started to care for them and that feeling has only increased with every chapter. I think this is again one of the best things I can say about a story.

I don't know if there is such a thing as a mental orgasm, but if there is I was having one reading the last few chapters, lol. What I mean is that I feal my heart and soul overflowing with emotion when I read a new chapter, this story really touches me to the core and once again - and for the 1000th time since you started this story - this is such a joy to read.

By the way, I watched one of my favourite movies again on DVD last night, which is Indian and a very tragic love story, highly sensual, erotic, dramatic, sad, just beautiful (it plays in the 16 century and the Kama Sutra plays a part in it, too). While I was watching it I realized how much the characters remind me of your protagonists. I am sure you would truly love this movie. Let me know if you are interested and I will tell you a bit more about it via mail. :)

P.S.: I don't know how many of the reviewers and authors around here are in fact British and live in London, but I hope and pray that after yesterday's events you are all alive and well and that none of your loved ones was in danger during the attacks. My heart goes out to the people of London.

Ah....the mystery of the blue glowing naiyad is revealed!! I didn't think she'd actually say it (and glad she did b/c they belong togehter)...but now I'm even more curious to know their outcome. However, I'm still puzzled by the red tha she saw inside of him when they bonded. Is that his counterpoint to her outward display?

    Very curious reader....

Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! Can I just say I hate this site? I just finished writing this really long review of the last two chapters and when I pressed the "review" button it didn't show up. We hates it!

Anyway I am not going to rewrite it all, sorry, but most of it you know already, so it is not that much of a loss. ;) But those two chapters really made my day. FINALLY! Finally she is facing her true feelings and finally he makes her admit to him that she loves him! You know no matter how you are going to end this story I will be able to live with it now that the cat is out of the bag - except we still have to hear HIM say the words to HER I just realize... But anyway I am just very pleased she finally said it.

And my god, lady, you can write! That last chapter played before my eyes like a movie. You really have a fantastic sense for drama and tension. When I look back at those 64 chapters so far it still amazes me how far you have come with that story. I told you before and I gladly say it again: You may deny it all you like but you are deeply in love with your characters, you care for them with all your heart and there is so much of you in this story, so much of your heart's blood and that is what makes it so special because it makes the characters truly come to life.

OK, I am crossing my fingers reviewing works this time... *sigh*

HOW can she be so closed minded? maybe even a bit dense? How much longer are they going to be at odds? Another exasperating...very good chapter

    *reads A/N and starts laughing*

Oh come on, girl, you cannot tell me there is not at least a tiny part of your heart and soul that feels sorry for the ol' Marchwarden. I mean... LOOK at the poor bugger at the beginning of chapter 62! The state he is in! Doesn't that break your heart? If you say no, then you truly have a heart of stone, M'Lady! ;)

And regarding having the "hawts" for Haldir: It is funny, you know. I am actually all over "the ranger" *g*. I never even bothered giving the elves a second thought as you know - not one of them. And since movie Haldir is about as gay as Craig Parker is in real life there was nothing there that caught my interest. But "your" Haldir... now that is a different matter! :D Your Haldir is like the bisexual, masculine, horny version of book and movie Haldir all in one, lol! And I told you before and I gladly tell you again: If you ever get sick of him... send him over! I'll gladly take him off your hands. :D God, how I hope to see you writing a ranger story one day. Purely out of selfish motivation of course... *g*

But I said it last chapter and I say it again: I find HER MUCH MORE selfish then HIM at the moment. ;) And just out of curiosity: How long do you think this story is going to get?

Aww, poor Annowe...she really thought that something was wrong with her. What a revelation, for her, the truth must have been. *giggles*

And yes, I said, "poor Haldir." LOL!! He must be bursting to tell her his feelings, and she doesn't even want to see him. :(
And this time, he hasn't really even done anything to deserve her ignoring him. *shrugs* Oh, well, hopefully Tom and Goldberry will be able to intervene and make these two tell each other how they feel before it's too late.

Lovely chapter, as always! :D Keep up the great work...and I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for a new, HAPPY, update. *grins*
