Thank you for that last post. I can't wait for the end (or not). I really like that you choose secondary characters and i especially like Aefre. I have been checking up on that story everyday since i read the 19 chapters about a month ago. I can't wait to read the rest of it.

I'm sorry for your friend. I'm a mom of three.

Awesome chapter! You write with great empathy. Here's hoping Aefre (and we) don't have to wait too much longer for the last ride home.

Excellent update as always Zee! I think Faramir can handle Eomer and Gamling--faint heart ne'er won fair lady, and Faramir's pretty tough, all things considering. I like how you have Imrahil getting interested in Eomer because he of his relationship with Eowyn. Probably thinks that any man who cares for his willful sister the way Eomer does for Eowyn would be nice to a wife (maybe Princess Lothiriel is a bit of a spitfire herself?) Poor Aefre, she really has it hard keeping everybody from scratching each other's eyes out or worse. Liked how Willan had to drug her to get her to rest. Was the shaking that woke her the Black Tower falling? Please update again soon!

Horse Lordlets and Shield Toddlers, how adorable! I hope Gamling and Aefre get at least one of each.

Poor Eomer, trying hard to adjust to the fact that he's King on top of mourning his uncle, worrying about his sister, and readying the troops to go on a seemingly hopeless mission to Mordor. He seems to be coping as best he can, I'm glad he has Gamling there to help.

Good to see Haleth, Son of Hama again. I always wondered what he did after Helm's Deep was over. I also like how you added that other Shieldmaidens disguised themselves as men and fought at Pelennor Fields. You figure if Rohan had this ancient tradition of Shieldmaidens in the first place, Eowyn couldn't have been the only one. Please update soon!

I, like so many of your other readers, am in love with this story, because of it's originality and it's 'praise of older men'!. It is beautiful, fun, and adventuresome. You are a truly gifted writer. I especially like that you gave Theoden a 'special mention', as his character is one of my favorites, and one too seldom mentioned in fan fictions, as is Gamling's. Bravo!
